A structural frame assembly is provided that includes mechanically interlocking components. The frame assembly has rails that interconnect with each other at joints that include brackets that engage the rails and nuts that are held in cavities of the rails that are connected to slots that extend through outer surfaces of the rails. Bolts may extend angularly through bores of the bracket and the slots of the rails to operatively engage a nut being held in the cavity. Tightening the bolts may draw the nut angularly through the cavity in a manner that automatically self-aligns the brackets and rails to establish precise joints.

A method and apparatus for producing single plane ladder-type rack strip material (67) in which wire cross bar elements (52) are Tee-welded to the inside surface portions of opposed, parallel side elements (33, 34) formed of similar wire material. During welding, the cross bar element (52) is contacted at its center by an electrode (54) of a first polarity and placed between the side elements (33, 34), which are contacted on their outer surfaces by two electrodes (44, 45) of a second polarity. The welding current flows in substantially equal amounts from the first electrode (54) through the weld interfaces to the second electrodes (44, 45). The planar rack strip material (67) is formed into a variety of mdular components to be used in rack (100, 110) and shelving structures (86) utilizing mounting blocks (83, 104) and connecting blocks (139).

The structure is of the type comprising a plurality of bars (1) and a plurality of joints (2). These latter mainly consist of a cubic body whose center area presents a cavity communicating with each of the six faces by way of a respective clearance hole. Three of such clearance holes are so structured as to receive the head of the relative screw, whose shank is screwed into anchorage elements joined to the bars (1). At least one of the remaining clearance holes is of threaded type. Coupling elements (20) and elastic plates are further described. The coupling element enables the joining two by two of sectional structures of the type described above; the elastic plates allow the locking of cross-bars (25) among pairs of bars (1). These latter and the joints (2) are the main elements of the frame which is the base of the sectional structure according to our invention.

The invention relates to a furniture module for building of interactive furniture learning module assemblies comprising two rectangular frames (10) and at least three squared and elongated connecting rods (50). Further, the invention relates to a furniture module assembly for providing an interactive learning environment comprising at least two connected modules. These assemblies may be in form of stair module assemblies, high module assemblies or other configurations, such as a workshop trolley assemblies. The invention benefits from a high degree of flexibility in configuration of furniture modules that allows optimal use in learning environments.

This invention relates to a racking arrangement, and more particularly but not exclusively to a racking arrangement that is adapted to be reconfigurable once the existing configuration has become obsolete. The invention also relates to a corner connector (20) suitable for use in constructing the racking arrangement, and in particular a corner connector (20) which is configured for releasably receiving a corner post. The corner connector (20) includes a body (21) having two substantially perpendicular distal end zones (22), and a corner zone (23) located between the two distal end zones (22). The distal end zones (22) include external surfaces suitable for receiving ends of sides of the racking arrangement. The corner zone (23) includes a receiving formation (25) for releasably receiving an end of a corner post assembly therein, wherein the receiving formation (25) is in the form of a recess formed in the corner zone (23) of the body (21).
