Die Erfindung offenbart eine Sicherheitseinrichtung für einen sensorischen Sprinkler, die es ermöglicht, bei mechanischen Beschädigungen eines Sprinklers einen Sprinkler auszutauschen, ohne dass es notwendig ist, das gesamte Rohrleitungssystem drucklos zu machen. Hierzu wird eine spezielle Aqua-Stopp-Vorrichtung offenbart. Die Erfindung erlaubt des Weiteren eine einfachere und schnellerer Befestigung von standardisierten Sprinklern mit Rohrleitungssystemen über eine Steck-Dreh-Verbindung. Zusätzlich wird ein Montagewerkzeug zum Montieren der Sicherheitseinrichtung offenbart.

A hot melt adhesive dispensing system (100) includes an adhesive cut-off module, which introduces a non-adhesive liquid medium to cut-off a hot melt adhesive stream without forming an angel hair. The adhesive cut-off module includes a spool valve assembly (120) which is configured to move from an adhesive dispensing position to a liquid dispensing position to cut-off the hot melt adhesive stream.

A valve stem has a reverse taper thereon used in an injection nozzle for a hot runner system. The valve stem is moved downward into a closed position, such that a valve stem tip plugs or blocks an opening in a gate area, thereby precluding molten plastic from exiting the injection nozzle. The valve stem is moved upward into an open position, thereby allowing molten plastic to flow from the injection nozzle. In the open position, the reverse taper seals a clearance between the valve stem and either a manifold bushing or valve bushing, thereby precluding stem leakage or weepage. The reverse taper has a diameter which is larger than an internal diameter of internal passage of the valve bushing or manifold bushing. The valve stem also includes a headless end.
Abstract:
A manifold box (10) adapted to contain manifolds for valves controlling the flow of potentially hazardous liquids. The manifold is a sealed plastic box enclosing the valves to contain any leaks from the valves and allow any leaking liquid to drain from the box through a drain tube (51a) at the bottom of the box to prevent the liquid from leaking onto surfaces below or adjacent to the valves. In a preferred embodiment, attachment engaging "tee-nuts" (28) are cast in place within the walls of the box and fittings for tubing connections are attached to the walls of the box at openings in the walls. The box may have a front access opening (14) sealingly closed by a hinged plastic cover panel. In one embodiment the box is rectangular and is designed with two adjacent sloping walls which permit drainage of liquid from the box into a drain tube regardless of whether the box is mounted vertically or horizontally. In another embodiment the box is square and has one sloping wall containing a drain connected to a drain pipe (51a).

In various embodiments, the present invention includes a rupture control system comprising an inner hose, an outer hose, and a valve that is actuated by fluid leaking from the inner hose. The inner hose and the outer hose define a containment passageway therebetween, and the valve includes an inlet, an outlet, a passageway extending between the inlet and the outlet, a valve member readily movable between a first position and a second position, and a valve control chamber. In these embodiments, a rapture in the inner hose places the inner hose in fluid communication with the containment passageway and the valve control chamber, and fluid flowing into the valve control chamber moves the valve member from its first position into its second position, the valve member at least partially blocking the valve passageway in the second position.
