Disclosed is a combi stove (1)arranged for combusting both logs and granular material. The combi stove (1)comprises a common combustion chamber (2)arranged so that both the logs and the granular material may be combusted in the common combustion chamber (2). The combi stove (1)further comprises ash collecting means (3)arranged under the combustion chamber (2)and a front aperture (4)through which logs may be placed in the combustion chamber (2). Also the combi stove (1)includes a granular material combustion area (5)arranged in the combustion chamber (2), wherein the granular material combustion area (5)comprises a bottom combustion surface (6)including bottom airflow apertures (7)arranged to enable an airflow to the granular material during a combustion of the granular material in the granular material combustion area (5), wherein the granular material combustion area (5)is at least partly surrounded by a granular material area sidewall (8)comprising sidewall airflow apertures (9)arranged to enable an airflow to flue gasses generated during a combustion of the granular material in the granular material combustion area (5), and wherein at least a part of the granular material area sidewall (8)is releasable from the granular material combustion area (5). Bei einem Ofen zum thermischen Verwerten von festem Brennstoff, mit einem Ofenboden, und mit einem aufrecht verlaufenden Zuführungsrohr, durch welches Brennstoff in den Ofen gefördert wird, wobei das Zuführungsrohr von unten in den Ofenboden mündet, derart, dass der Brennstoff von unten in den Ofen gelangt, schlägt die Erfindung ein Rührwerk vor, welches mehrere nahe über dem Ofenboden angeordnete, umlaufende Rührflügel sowie Austrittsdüsen einer Sauerstoffzufuhr aufweist.

The auger gasifier described includes, in its preferred embodiments, a vertically elongated ("oblong") primary gasifier chamber with an auger that can move up and down, allowing for large amounts of fuel input when necessary. This improvement, in turn, requires and/or is facilitated by provision for simultaneous elevation adjustments of the auger and bed dam to assure that fuel material is processed in degrees from the top downward without sweeping massive amounts of the fluidized bed materials towards the output end of the chamber. Another improvement involves provision for pressurization of the primary gasifier chamber, allowing substantial improvements in the speed of processing materials through the gasifier. Due to issues arising from thermal expansion of the refractory material lining the chamber, provision is made for nozzle and refractory imbedded pipe hole thermal expansion capability. Finally, provision is for steam injection into and/or auxiliary heating of the chamber to enhance gasification and the production of syngas.

The cereal burner includes a furnace (11) having a frustoconical portion (117) connected at its outlet (116) to a boiler (8), wherein the furnace is supplied with fuel by an Archimedes screw (2) and is placed in a housing (13) provided with a fan (4), the wall of the furnace (11) comprising air inlet openings (114, 118) in its central portion and in its frustoconical outlet portion, the housing including means for adjusting the air flow towards one and/or the other of said portions. Application in central heating boiler for replacement of traditional fuel oil burners.

A system having a hopper that receives fuel pellets and direct the pellets under gravity feed to an auger that moves the pellets into a firepot inside a cooking chamber of a grill. The system includes a door below the auger that has a closed position that retains fuel pellets in the auger such that the fuel pellets feed to the auger, and has an opened position to allows the pellets to empty from the hopper and away from the auger. A closing mechanism allows a user to selectively open or close the door.

A fuel feed system for a pellet fire which includes conveying means within a casing, said casing including a plurality of inlet means distributed lengthwise along the casing and a plurality of outlet means distributed lengthwise along the casing, such that each inlet means is horizontally offset from the adjacent outlet means and wherein said conveying means is configured to move compressed fuel pellets from an inlet means to an adjacent outlet means; such that in use said fuel feed system is configured to form a plurality of overlapping piles of compressed fuel pellets in a burn pot of the pellet fire.

A system for use in a gasification system comprises an increasing pitch screw feeder and a high -pressure vessel disposed about said increasing pitch screw feeder. The high-pressure vessel comprises an inlet for connection to an outlet of a solid pump and a conveyance gas line and an outlet through which so?id fuel delivered from the solid pump is transported to a gasifier. The outlet is downstream of the solid pump and the conveyance gas line.
