Abstract:
A voltage probe including a transmission line having an inner conductor and an outer conductor. An electrode is spaced apart from the outer conductor. A dielectric is disposed between the electrode and the outer cnductor, adjacent an inner surface of the outer conductor. An exemplary method of implementing the voltage probe may include providing the dielectric adjacent the outer conductor. The electrode separated from the outer conductor by the dielectric and positioned adjacent to the dielectric is provided. A signal is measured from the electrode indicating a transmission voltage in the transmission line.
Abstract:
A current measurement circuit includes first, second and third conductors, a first current sensor, a second current sensor, and current computation circuitry. The first conductor is configured to conduct a first phase current of a three-phase current. The second conductor is configured to conduct a second phase current of the three-phase current. The third conductor is configured to conduct a third phase current of the three-phase current. The first current sensor is coupled to the first, the second, and the third conductors. The second current sensor is coupled to the second conductor and the third conductor. The current computation circuitry is coupled to the first current sensor and the second current sensor, and is configured to determine the first current, the second current, and the third current by applying an inverse Clarke transform to the output of the first current sensor and the output of the second current sensor.
Abstract:
A radio frequency (RF) sensor that measures RF current includes a substrate (36) that has an inner perimeter that defines an aperture (18). A conductor (20) extends through the aperture (18). Sensor pads (30) are arranged on the aperture (18) and are connected to form two sensor loops. The loops generate an electrical signal that represents RF current flow through the center conductor (20). Additionally, a plurality of circular conductive rings may be included in the RF sensor to generate a signal representing the voltage of the conductor (20).

Abstract:
System and method for online configuration of a device for a measurement system. The user accesses a server with a client computer over a network and specifies a task. If the user lacks the hardware to perform the task, hardware specifications are sent to a manufacturer, who sends the hardware to the user. The hardware may be re-configurable hardware (a programmable hardware element or processor/memory based device). Software products (programs and/or data) for configuring measurement system hardware (and/or software) to perform the task may be sent to the user. The hardware may be configured automatically or by the user. The software products may include programs usable by the measurement system to perform the task, configuration information for configuring the client computer or other measurement device, and/or hardware configuration program(s) for configuring a programmable hardware element. Thus, hardware and/or software specific to the user's application are be provided to the user.
