Abstract:
A method for capturing an image may include receiving a start command, determining whether one or more predefined conditions are satisfied, and capturing an image when the predefined conditions are satisfied. The start command and/or the predefined conditions may be dependent on an audible signal. The predefined conditions may include predetermined reception angles of the audible signal, ratios of foreground to background, and/or reception of a remote control signal. The method may also require that no visual feature is occluded. Individualized feedback may be provided which can direct a specific person within an image to correct a failed predefined condition. An apparatus and computer program product corresponding to the method are also provided.

A system for controlling the delayed shutter release function comprises a physical separate processing unit (COM) and camera (CAM) which supplies images to the processing unit (COM) to be displayed on a display screen (DS), a hardware or software shutter release button (HSRB; SSRB) is provided, which, when activated by a user, triggers the start of a delay period, a communication link (CL) between the camera (CAM) and the processing unit (COM) allows exchange of control information between the camera (CAM) and the processing unit (COM) to control the delayed shutter release function.
Abstract:
A camera is disclosed including a real-time countdown clock timer (6), a display (2) for displaying the period of time before exposure, and a shutter release mechanism (9) for releasing a shutter when the clock reaches a pre-set time. The camera is operable to take a photo at a pre-set or user selected time. In an embodiment the display (2) is a countdown display showing days, hours and seconds before the photo is taken. In another embodiment the display is located on the front of the camera.

An enclosed integrated automatic photographic studio (10) in which the subject may pose in complete privacy for portrait quality prints. A camera (32) located behind a one-way mirror (30) is activated by the subject (44). The studio is dimensioned and illuminated to produce portrait quality photographs using a single camera focus setting and shutter speed regardless of the subject's normal location in the studio (10).

Systems and methods are provided for performing operations comprising: capturing, by an electronic mirroring device, a video feed received from a camera of the electronic mirroring device, the video feed depicting a user; displaying, by one or more processors of the electronic mirroring device, one or more menu options on the video feed that depicts the user; identifying a hand of the user in the video feed; determining that a position of the hand in the video feed overlaps a position of a given menu option of the one or more menu options; and performing an operation associated with the given menu option in response to determining that the position of the hand in the video feed overlaps the position of the given menu option.
