Abstract:
An apparatus and method is disclosed for the automatic injection of a liquid additive into a horticultural liquid dispensation system. The invention includes a programmable controller (20) and an injection assembly (50) comprising at least one solenoid valve (52, 54) and injector (70). The controller senses which of a plurality of watering zones is currently being watered, and effects the transmission of electrical pulses to the solenoid valve, causing the valve to open/close and thereby produce stroking of a spring-loaded piston (72) within the injector.
Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a device comprising an element for proportioning a fluid flow ( phi ) from the inlet to the outlet of the proportioner (10), fitted with a membrane (12) with at least one opening (16) which acts as a resistance to the outflow of the proportioned medium, as well a built-in pressure sensor (14) inside the membrane (12) to capture any pressure difference between the inlet and the outlet of said proportioner (10), which also comprises a temperature sensor to capture the medium temperature, a controlled pressure transmitter for boosting the proportioned medium at the inlet, as well as a setting device fitted on the pressure transmitter for adjusting the pressure depending on the pressure difference captured by the pressure sensor (14) and the temperature captured by the temperature sensor.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Disclosed is a proportioner for a fluid flow ( DOLLAR g(f)) from the inlet in a first proportioning element (10) to the outlet of a second proportioning element (10), characterized in that the first and second proportioning elements comprise a membrane (12) with one or more apertures (16) for detecting a pressure difference between the proportioner (10) inlet and outlet. The proportioner has a pressure transmitter for applying a pressure at the fluid inlet. The first and second proportioning elements (10) are mounted one after the other to allow a congestion or blocking of the resistance to flow provided at each membrane (12) to be detected due to the pressure fall in the membranes (12).
Abstract:
A reduced pressure shut off assembly for an eductor (36) mixing system wherein a vacuum shut off valve (20) is activated by reduced pressure in a reduced pressure line (51, 57) connected to a container (21) for a concentrate. In a preferred embodiment, an eductor and the vacuum shut off valve are positioned on top a vessel for storing a solution of the concentrate. The mixing system with the vacuum shut off valve is especially adapted to be used for mixing a chemical concentrate cleaning composition with water.
