    Abstract: Systems and methods for tracking data lineage and record lifecycle using a distributed ledger are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method for tracking record lifecycle events may include: (1) creating, by a record lifecycle tool, a recordable artifact for a record lifecycle event in a record lifecycle, the recordable artifact comprising data for the record lifecycle event; (2) generating, by the record lifecycle tool, a hash of the data; (3) creating, by the record lifecycle tool, record lifecycle event metadata for the recordable artifact; (4) signing, by the record lifecycle tool, the record lifecycle event metadata; (5) writing the record lifecycle event metadata to supply chain metadata storage at a storage location, wherein the supply chain metadata storage may be cryptographically verifiable and immutable; and (6) writing the hash and an identifier for the storage location in the supply chain metadata store to a present state database.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to continuous data profiling (CDP). Entities may house large amounts of disorganized and/or duplicative data. To organize and standardize data across a data set, the data may be profiled. However, profiling large data set can be inefficient and give rise to security problems, as profiling datasets typically requires exporting a dataset to a third- party profiling runtime environment. To remedy these issues, the present disclosure is directed to a continuous data profiling platform that comprises a CDP manager communicatively coupled to a client's database. The CDP manager provides access to a CDP API that may install CDP tools on a client's native database environment, enabling the database management system to profile datasets within the client's native database environment, which results in a more efficient use of computing resources and more secure process of profiling datasets.

    Abstract: Techniques are discussed for preparing and executing scanning plans for particular types of information, including personally identifiable information. A user indicates one or more datastores to be scanned for the particular type of information. A scanner determines scan objectives for the scanning plan and classifiers for use in scans conducted according to the scanning plan. The scanner estimates scan performance metrics and scan quality metrics. The scanner presents estimated results for the scanning plan based on the selected classifiers, scan objectives, estimate scan performance metrics, and estimated scan quality metrics. The user can modify the set of scan objectives or select between alternative sets of scan objectives. The scanning plan may be performed iteratively and the results of previous scan may be used to adjust classifiers or scan objectives to be used in subsequent scans.
