摘要: Data captured during a surgical procedure can include multiple video streams, such as from an endoscopic camera, an external camera, etc., along with data from one or more instruments used during the surgical procedure. Transferring the surgical data over communication networks, and storing the surgical data, is therefore resource-intensive, and a technical challenge. Technical solutions are described to optimize the surgical data by intelligent compression methods that can adaptively reduce the size of certain procedural workflows. In some aspects, the compression reduces the storage/transmission resources required for a video catalogue by reducing redundancy from across the several videos stored in the video catalogue. The compression also enables faster querying and searching through a catalogue or collection of archived data.

摘要: A computer-implemented method of active learning for computer vision in digital images, comprising: inputting labelled image training examples into an artificial neural network in a training phase; training a computer vision model using the labelled training examples; carrying out a prediction task on each image of an unlabelled training set of unlabelled, unseen images using the model; calculating an uncertainty metric for the predictions in each image of the unlabelled training set; calculating a similarity metric for the unlabelled training set representing similarities between the images in the training set; selecting images from the unlabelled training set, in dependence upon both the similarity metric and the uncertainty metric of each image, to design a training set for labelling which tends to both lower the similarity between the selected images and increase the uncertainty of the selected images.

摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide for a method of determining a virtual occlusion. The method may include obtaining a 3-D representation of a patient's first and second jaw portions. The method may further include, with the 3-D representation, representing in a GUI an initial position of the first jaw portion relative to the second jaw portion, the initial position being defined by six pre-determined degrees of freedom relative to a coordinate system fixed relative to the first jaw portion. The method may further include receiving user input of changes at least one degree of freedom, and automatically adjusting at least one other degree of freedom to minimize a vertical distance of the control point to the origin, thereby determining a virtual occlusion. The method may further include representing, in the GUI, the first and second jaw portions in the determined virtual occlusion.
