The present yellow phosphors have applications in high brightness white LED illumination systems, LCD display panels, plasma display panels, and yellow LEDs/illumination systems.

Abstract: Light source, in particular a light bulb, comprising a bulb (1), a filament (2) located in the bulb (1) and a heating device (3) for the filament, whereby said filament emits both visible light and thermal radiation.
