Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure enable mesh network capacity management via network metering using a processor an integrated roofing mesh network node in a mesh network to receive and transmit data packets in the mesh network. Each data packet includes a source address, a destination address, and a payload of data. The processor determines passthrough traffic including a subset of data packets routed between radio nodes of the mesh network through the gateway based on the source address and the destination address of each data packet and an address associated with the gateway. The processor determines a passthrough data capacity based on the payload of each data packet in the subset and determines a metric based on the passthrough data capacity to signify an amount of mesh network bandwidth provided by the integrated roofing mesh network node.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. Methods and systems for handling network slice admission control for User Equipment (UE) are provided. The disclosure relates to network slicing and more particularly, to a system and method of ensuring that a communication system is able to accurately enforce quota on the maximum number of UEs concurrently registering for a network slice defined by a Single Network Slice Selection Assistance Information (S-NSSAI). The disclosure describes how the limits of "Number of Terminals" configured for an S-NSSAI may be accurately maintained in a Network Slice Admission Control Function (NSACF), and thus the enforcement may be performed when the limit is really exhausted. The disclosure also describes that a deregistration notification from a Unified Data Management (UDM) may act as a trigger for an old Mobility Management Function (AMF) to decrement counts in the NSACF as the old AMF is no longer serving the UE.

METHODS FOR CAPACITY PROVISIONING IN WIDE AREA NETWORKS USING OPTICAL BYPASSING

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining an optical bypass for an inter-regional wide area network (WAN) for regions of server facilities of a cloud service provider. In particular, the optical bypass connects non-adjacent regional server centers of the WAN by eliminating needs of data conversions at intermediate regional server centers. The determining the optical bypass includes receiving a WAN topology data, capacity and demand information about the WAN. The determining includes an objective function to maximize a number of network resources to free up by determining a revised data flow and bandwidth allocations by introducing the optical bypass in the WAN. The disclosed technology transmits the determined data traffic flow and resource allocation information of the optical bypass, causing a network traffic enforcers to reconfigure the WAN.
