    Abstract: Заявлена система сервиса предоставления виртуальных каналов, включающая передающую и принимающую (клиентскую) стороны системы спутникового вещания, дополнительно снабженную средствами формирования виртуальных каналов сервиса, сервер EPG, снабженный средствами формирования метаданных виртуальных каналов, и расписания виртуальных каналов - в виде компоновки выборки событий контента линейных каналов вещания, отбираемых по предустановленным для каждого виртуального канала критериям и транслируемых в рамках виртуальных каналов сервиса последовательно по времени, с установкой для каждого события выборки идентификатора соответствующего виртуального канала и отметки использования события в его составе, а подсистема условного доступа CAS снабжена средствами генерирования управляющих слов с шифрованием их сессионными ключами, а также сообщений ЕСМ и ЕММ их содержащих, для каждого линейного и виртуального канала системы сервиса или их группы, причем одно и то же событие контента, транслируемое различными каналами, выполнено шифрованным общим управляющим словом, шифрованным разными сессионными ключами для каждого линейного и виртуального канала или их группы.

    Abstract: A method in a networking environment to generate personalized data-streaming for a multimedia playback device is provided. The method includes deploying an ABR based data-streaming logic as a base-model at a multimedia playback device, obtaining parameters for a time duration based on a multimedia-playback at the multimedia playback device, obtaining a statistical mean for the parameters based on a first statistical analysis, identifying a parameter from the parameters by comparing the obtained mean against a threshold weight associated with the parameters in accordance with the base model, scaling the identified parameter in a predefined format as training, applying a second statistical analysis to the identified parameter of the playback device and another playback device for determining a covariance between both devices and determining a category of the playback device based on the covariance and deploying a version of the trained base model upon the playback device based on the category.

    Abstract: An electronic device and method are provided for display of a programming guide for content associated with broadcaster and VOD applications. The electronic device receives a DTV signal that include programming content items associated with broadcaster applications on the electronic device and extracts a set of in-band metadata associated with programming content items. The electronic device selects a set of VOD assets offered by at least one VOD application on the electronic device and extracts a set of out-of-band metadata associated with the programming content items and the selected set of VOD assets from at least one metadata source. The electronic device parses the set of in-band metadata and the set of out-of-band metadata and combines such parsed sets of metadata into a unified metadata file based on a master template. Based on the unified metadata file, the electronic device controls a display device to render a programming guide.

    Abstract: A cloud-based system that rewards users for watching video ads and not skipping at the earliest possible moment. Such an advertising plus rewards system synchronizes its network with external media platforms (such as social media and AVOD television) to reward users once video advertisements have played from start to finish (when such users could have easily skipped). Deep-linking technologies used to communicate between the media platforms and a downloaded app allowing users to easily access their rewards by way of their phones, tablets, computers and/or Smart TVs. Influencers enabled to issue challenges to their followers by way of establishing rules for discrete challenges and then delivering rewards to those who succeed.
