A method and vehicle for brushing top dressing material into a golf green, fairway or other supporting surface. The method and vehicle employs at least four brushes to contact each blade of grass located beneath the brush pattern of the vehicle. The brushes are arranged to contact and push the grass blades back and forth with the brushes arranged at various angles to achieve the back and forth motion to work the top dressing material down between grass blades.

The invention relates to a turf cutting machine (1), more particularly a four-wheel drive turf cutting machine. Said turf cutting machine is provided with a transmission arrangement (37) which comprises a transmission belt (39) arranged between the rear axle pulley (41) and the front axle pulley (43) and which further comprises a plurality of deflection pulleys (45, 47, 49, 51) which are arranged between the rear axle pulley and the front axle pulley so as to define a path for the transmission belt (39) that goes from the rear axle to the front axle and then back to the rear axle passing over the cutting blade (13).

L'invention se rapporte à un dispositif de manœuvre d'un outil (1) de jardinage destiné à être déplacé au sol selon une direction de travail. Selon l'invention, le dispositif est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un levier du deuxième genre comprenant un corps (2) formant manche et dont une extrémité constitue une tête (3) comportant un moyen d'appui et de pivotement (4) au sol, et l'outil est rattaché derrière le levier par un lien (6) à un pivot (7) solidaire du levier de sorte que le manche peut occuper, une première position dite d'appui située en amont de l'accessoire, et une seconde position dite de traction finale pour laquelle il est amené par un pivotement angulaire dans la direction de travail et en laquelle l'outil est avancé à proximité de ladite tête. A pocket-sized hinged mechanical golf ball mark repair device for the proper repair of ball marks on a golf putting green is claimed. The hinging action squeezes the damaged sod together in one or two easy motions without destroying the roots; repairs the ball mark; thus expediting the repair/growth of the damaged green. The device is enabled for display of promotional information.

The invention is a device for repairing golf ball marks. The device (200) comprises a pin (203), a base (201) and three or more prongs (202) which are fixed to the base and ex- tend in an opposite direction to the pin. The tips of the prongs are sloped. The inner sides (205) of the prongs form a round shape in such a way that the inner edge of the slope part is a sharp protuberance (212). This protuberance is found at the thickest part of the prong. The device is pushed into the soil in such a way that the prongs surround the ball- mark. The inner sides of the prongs shift soil towards the centre of the ball-mark and the protuberance loosens the soil when the device is inserted into the soil. After that the soil is tamped down with, for example, a golf club to even out the putting surface.

Mediante el dispositivo de la invención se pretende facilitar y reducir al máximo el trabajo que hay que realizar a la hora de llevar a cabo el cavado del suelo para labrar la tierra, minimizando el riesgo de lesiones y esfuerzo necesario. Para ello, la herramienta se constituye mediante una especie de horca formada por cuatro dientes (1) metálicos con un extremo puntiagudo y el otro extremo con un travesaño (2) común y de solidarización a los dientes, para forma la horca, de cuya parte central se proyecta un mástil (3) tubular, también metálico, rematado en una rama transversal (4) de menor diámetro. En correspondencia con la zona de intersección entre el mástil y el travesaño de unión de los dientes de clavado, se incluye un soporte (5) posterior para apoyo y empuje del pie del usuario, facilitando el clavado de los dientes sobre el terreno.

The handle (3) may be detached from the body (2) of the roller and may house a hose. The roller may be used for multiple functions including a spray, a lawn aerator and lawn edger.

A levelling apparatus (10) is disclosed for levelling or profiling a surface. The leveller includes a carrier (12) for a blade (20). The leveller (10) is moved over a surface to be profiled on supports (14 and 16), which may be attached to the carrier (12) or a main member (22) of the leveller (10). The supports (14 and 16) may include wheels or skids. The leveller (10) is able to level to profile a surface by adjusting the angle or height of the blade (20) from the surface. An adjustment mechanism (25) is provided for adjusting the angle of the blade (20) to the main member (22). This allows the angle of the blade (20) to be adjusted with respect to the surface, and also allows adjustment of the blade height with respect to the surface to be levelled. A biasing means (40) is also incorporated to allow the angle of the blade to change depending on the amount of force on the blade (20) from the surface. This invention is particularly useful in spreading material such as sand over surfaces such as grass, where a very level surface is required.

An apparatus (10) makes easier, simpler and quicker the obtention of a sample of solid materials for physical and/or chemical testing. The apparatus (10) comprises a housing (24) containing a ram (18), the housing (24) having an anvil end (22) and a cutting end (12). In a method of using the apparatus (10), the cutting end (12) is driven into a substrate (14) and a plug (16) of sample material is obtained. Plug (16) is removed from housing (24) by forcing ram (18) in the direction of plug (16).
