Abstract:
A control system for an electric, terrain-working vehicle having a left drive wheel powered by a left traction motor, a right drive wheel powered by a right traction motor, at least a first implement powered at least by a first implement motor, and a battery supplying power to the left traction motor, the right traction motor and the first implement motor when certain conditions are met. The control system comprises a first implement controller comprising logic to control the battery- supplied power to the first implement motor; a left traction controller comprising logic to control the battery- supplied power to the left traction motor; and a right traction controller comprising logic to control the battery- supplied power to the right traction motor. The first implement controller, the left traction controller and the right traction controller are independent from one another.
Abstract:
A robotic lawn mower includes a first wheel driven by a first electric wheel motor, a second wheel driven by a second electric wheel motor, a cutting implement driven by an electric cutting implement motor, a power system for powering the electric wheel motors and the electric cutting implement motor, and a controller configured to control operation of the electric wheel motors and the electric cutting implement motor to autonomously mow a yard. The power system includes multiple removable rechargeable battery modules and multiple receptacles, each receptacle configured to receive one of the battery modules.
Abstract:
Self propelled lawnmower (1) able to operate either in a rear wheel drive mode or in a four wheel drive mode, the two modes being selectable by rotating two different command levers (14, 24), each operatively connected with a gearbox (10, 20) placed on the rear axle (11) and front axle (21), respectively.
Abstract:
A double row came harvester has two separate feed trains which are side by side each feed train being adjustable such that the base cutters that are attached to each feed train are "tuned" to the mound height in the paddock.
Abstract:
An apparatus comprising a blade carrier rotatably attached to the apparatus and having a first longitudinal axis and comprising blades disposed around the first longitudinal axis, extending radially therefrom and defining a first cylindrical diameter; a brush rotatably attached to the apparatus and having a second longitudinal axis, the brush further comprising a plurality of bristles extending outwardly from the second longitudinal axis and defining a second cylindrical diameter, the brush being attached to the apparatus such that the second longitudinal axis is substantially parallel to the first longitudinal axis and; and an elevation device for maintaining the blade carrier and brush at a height over a surface to engage desirable and undesirable plants. The blades may be discs or helical blades. The brush and blade carrier are also arranged such that the bristles of the brush engage the blades of the blade carrier in a dynamic interface.
Abstract:
An improved combination of a powered combine carrying a combine grain bin (24) for housing harvested grain and a towed grain cart carrying a grain cart bin (30) for housing harvested grain includes improved harvested grain transfer between the combine grain bin and the grain cart bin and improved off-loading of harvested grain from the combination. A generally horizontally disposed first grain movement assembly (32) is pivotally connected within the combine grain bin and pivotally connected within the grain cart bin and disposed for reciprocally transporting grain between the combine grain bin and the grain cart bin. A generally vertically disposed second grain movement assembly (34) is cooperatively operable with the first grain movement assembly for transferring grain from the grain cart bin to the first grain movement assembly and thence to the combine grain bin. An off-loading grain movement assembly (26) is disposed for off-loading grain only from the combine grain bin.
Abstract:
Abstract:
An engine including an engine block having a cylinder defining a front of the engine, a blower housing coupled to the engine block and defining a hot half and a cool half opposite the front half, a starter mount assembly coupled to the blower housing and positioned within the cool half, an electric starter motor retained by the starter mount assembly, and a battery mounted to the blower housing and positioned in the cool half. The battery is electrically coupled to the electric starter motor.
Abstract:
Broadly, one aspect of the present invention is an articulated combine (10) having increased grain storage capacity (e.g., 1,200 bushels) and which is composed of a forward unit (12) having an operator's cab (15), an engine (18), a grain harvesting assembly (16), a grain transfer assembly (26) and being devoid of an on-board grain bin; and a rearward unit (14) jointly attached to the forward section and having steerable and powered wheels (30, 32), an on-board grain bin (28) for receiving grain from the forward section grain transfer assembly and a grain off-loading assembly. The grain transfer assembly (26), joint (22) and grain off-loading assembly and controls form other aspects of the present invention.
