    Abstract: Kit and method for constructing raceway pond for cultivating algae. Kit includes structural members, each comprising a substrate, a lower block, and an upper block with U-shaped cavity. A foundation for raceway bed is formed by setting substrate on leveled ground area. A perimeter wall and central partition of raceway pond is constructed by: mounting and binding lower blocks onto substrate, along perimeter and centerline of raceway bed, such that mounted lower blocks adjoined horizontally in series; mounting and binding upper blocks onto lower blocks along perimeter and centerline of raceway bed, such that mounted upper blocks adjoined horizontally in series, with cavity oriented upwards to form adjoining cavities of successive upper blocks; and positioning reinforcement members through cavities, interconnecting reinforcement members, and filling cavities with filling agent. Kit further includes terminal member with semi-cylindrical shell, and mounted to form curvilinear portion on respective longitudinal end of central partition.

    Abstract: Described is an installation and a method to recover most of the energy in the water flowing out of a water tank, such as a closed marine facility, by combining different sizes of pumps and generators to recover energy from the wastewater in a marine facility where it is possible to optimize the energy recovery by also synchronizing the need for degassing/skimming of the water. This is to optimize the water flow so that it best fits the performance characteristics of the combination of pump and generator, while at the same time the water's CO2 and particle content meet the requirements of breeders and the authorities. This will provide large energy savings for the breeders. Recovered energy may be used locally in the operation of the facility or exported back to the power grid.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to apparatus and methods of seaweed farming and harvesting, and improvements relating thereto. More specifically, the present invention relates to a harvest apparatus for stripping seaweed from a tubular net. The apparatus comprises a harvest plate (100) comprising an orifice (102) for receiving the tubular net. The harvest plat further comprises a release channel (104) extending between the orifice (102) and an edge (101) of the harvest plate. The tubular net may be inserted into the orifice (102) and relative motion of the harvest plate (100) and the tubular net will strip off the seaweed. Additionally, the apparatus may comprise wings (103) being generally v-shaped. This apparatus allows for a more efficient, quicker and reliable of harvesting seaweed.
