Abstract:
Packaging for a pharmaceutical product and a method of validating pharmaceuticals is disclosed. The packaging comprising a cavity; and validation circuitry comprising: a sensor adapted to output a signal in response to detecting a vapour in the cavity; and a detection circuit adapted to output an indication when the signal indicates a predefined vapour signature.
Abstract:
The invention involves apparatus and method for confirming the presence/absence of closures (120) in a closure nest (100) inside an aseptic chamber (20). The apparatus comprises a topographical profiler (37, 41) disposed to monitor the closure nests. Vertical displacements in topographical maps obtained by the profiler are compared with information from a database about the nest and closure combinations. Vertical displacements falling outside predetermined upper and lower bounds are deemed absences of closures. The topographical profiler may be disposed outside the aseptic chamber. The system may be automated via a controller (51) and software. In some embodiments the nests are disposed in the monitored area by robotic articulated arms (22). In other embodiments the closure nests are moved by vacuum pickup systems (86). The system/method may also be employed to assess the suitability of a closure nest for closing in an aseptic chamber containers in a container nest (70).
Abstract:
The present invention relates, in some embodiments thereof, to systems, devices and methods allowing for an engagement of two or more vessels or devices in a decontaminated manner. In some embodiments of the invention, the systems and devices of the invention include a first connection interface attached to a first vessel and a second connection interface attached to a second vessel, wherein the first connection interface and the second connection interface are configured to allow for an engagement between the first vessel and the second vessel, and wherein the first and second connection interfaces are further configured to externally displace from the engagement between the first vessel and the second vessel while a hermetically sealed connection is maintained between the first vessel and the second vessel.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A container-closure system includes a container configured to hold a therapeutic liquid and having a dispensing tip configured to dispense a dose of the therapeutic liquid. A vented cap is configured to fit over at least a portion of the container including the dispensing tip and having one or more vents that allow air to pass into and out of a cavity defined between the vented cap and the dispensing tip. A second cap is configured to fit over at least a portion of the vented cap. A tamper evident seal is coupled to the second cap and one or both of the container and the vented cap.
Abstract:
Provided are an apparatus and method of printing a machine-readable code for labeling a medicinal substance. The method includes encoding at least an identification of the medicinal substance in a machine-readable format, and selecting a template establishing an appropriate layout of a label on which the identification is to be applied in the machine-readable format. The label is to be applied to a container for storing the medicinal substance to be administered to a patient. Label content including the identification in the machine -readable format is arranged to be applied to the label in the appropriate layout according to the template, and the label content is output in the appropriate layout to be printed onto the label.
Abstract:
A contact lens package assembly includes a sealable primary lens package, at least one contact lens sealed within the primary lens package, and a sealable secondary lens package. The primary lens package is sealed within the secondary lens package to increase a shelf life of the at least one contact lens. The secondary lens package may be resealable. The secondary lens package may be configured to retain a plurality of primary lens packages. The contact lens package assembly may further include at least one inert gas sealed within the secondary lens package and outside of the primary lens package.

Abstract:
A medical device assembly for imparting a lubricious and/or antimicrobial liquid onto a medical device is provided. The medical device is surrounded by a pouch and includes a burst package or frangible cells for storage of the liquid prior to delivery onto the surface of the medical device. This helps prevent contamination of the medical device upon removal of the medical device from its pouch, insertion of the device into a body cavity, and implantation of the device into the body cavity.
