A flexible bag dispenser includes a port configured to transfer a liquid material, a seal that seals the flexible bag dispenser so as to prevent the liquid material from discharging through the seal, and at least one vent configured to permit gases entrapped in an interior space of the flexible bag dispenser to discharge therethrough to the exterior of the flexible bag dispenser. An inner surface defining the vent may be tapered. An inner edge of the seal may be tapered toward the first end of the flexible bag dispensing container. The vent may be defined by a malleable tube disposed in the seal or by a bleeder valve. A method of forming a flexible bag dispenser according to one example includes sealing a flexible bag of the flexible bag dispenser and forming at least one vent in the seal.

A container for the shipping of a commodity, the container having a body defining an inner volume for holding the commodity, and having a bulk opening for accessing the inner volume with a resealable closure for selectively opening and closing the bulk inlet. A sampling port is formed in the body to provide access to the inner volume via a sapling instrument or the removal of a quantity of the commodity; and a pressure-relief port is formed in the body to provide a fluid flow path for the removal of excess fluid from the inner volume to depressurize the inner volume of the bag. The container is preferably provided in the form of a bag, with each of the bulk inlet, sampling port and pressure-relief port having airtight closures for securing the inner volume in an airtight condition.

The present invention is related to flexible multilayer laminates having an improved integrated, one-way pressure-release valve for use in a sealed container for packing gas-producing products. The pressure-release valve is partly disconnected from the rest of the laminate, forming an inflatable outlet tube with at least one large outlet opening and lifting off from the laminate under increased pressure in the pack.The one- way pressure-release valve allows for pressure-release at low minimum opening pressure in a reliable and reproducible way.

The present invention relates to a bi-layer pre-oil valve assembly and method of making that may be attached to a receptacle that provides a fluid resistant seal but allows for the expulsion of air pressure from the interior of a receptacle. The valve assembly may include a base layer, an adhesive layer, a fluid layer, and a material layer. The fluid layer may be a low viscosity fluid that is applied during the manufacturing of the valve and incorporated into the layer of the valve. The base layer may include an aperture. The adhesive layer may be provided about a portion of the perimeter of the base layer to define a non-adhesive portion. The fluid layer is applied along a portion of the non-adhesive portion of the base layer to define a channel or path to facilitate the release of gas or fluid from the receptacle.

A package that may be employed to store a tobacco-containing material is provided. The package may include a container and a valve assembly. The container may include a body portion and a cover configured to engage the body portion. The body portion may define an internal space therein. The valve assembly may be configured to affect an atmosphere within the internal space of the container. For example, the valve assembly may remain closed except when releasing pressure from the internal space. Thereby, by way of further example, the valve assembly may vent the container so as to avoid damage thereto, while reducing moisture loss from the tobacco-containing material stored in the internal space.

Disclosed herein is a beverage packaging configuration whereby mix and base beverages are packaged in a single package, and the base beverage containers are not filled completely with the base beverage. The space within each base beverage container remaining above the base beverage volume provides space in the base container for the correct proportion of at least one mix beverage to be poured into the base beverage container to create a reproducible mixed drink. One exemplary embodiment provides for a single mix beverage container which contains a volume of mix beverage equally divisible between the volume remaining in a plurality of base beverage containers. Another exemplary embodiment includes more than one mix beverage container which may contain different mix beverages. This invention removes the necessity of transporting a dispensing apparatus, such as a shot glass or volumetric dispenser or measuring glass, and also removes the need for a separate cup or glass in which to mix the base and mix beverages together, as provided in US Patent No. 8,181,781.
