Abstract: Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Klassifizierung von wenigstens einem Objekt (200) in einer Umgebung (150) eines Fahrzeugs (100) mittels eines Ultraschallsensorsystem (10), mit den Schritten: Aussenden von Ultraschallsignalen (31, 41) zu einer Mehrzahl aufeinanderfolgender Zeitpunkte mittels des Ultraschallsensorsystems (10), und Empfangen von, insbesondere an dem einem oder an mehreren Objekten (200) in der Umgebung (150) des Fahrzeugs (100), reflektierten Ultraschallechosignalen (32, 42) mittels des Ultraschallsensorsystems, wobei in Abhängigkeit von den empfangenen Ultraschallechosignalen (32, 42) ein oder mehrere Objekte (200) in der Umgebung (150) ermittelt werden, und wobei in Abhängigkeit von den empfangenen Ultraschallechosignalen (32, 42) bestimmt wird, ob das jeweilige Objekt (200) als dynamisch klassifiziert wird, insbesondere als Fußgänger. Zudem betrifft die Erfindung eine Steuereinrichtung (20) zum Betreiben eines Ultraschallsensorsystems (10), ein solches Ultraschallsensorsystem (10) sowie ein Fahrzeug (100) mit solch einem Ultraschallsensorsystem (10).

Abstract: A method and system for mapping a target region (60) of space with signal scatterers. The method involves moving a signal transmitter (26) and/or signal receiver (46) along a respective trajectory (34, 54) relative to the target region, and meanwhile transmitting a probing signal (62) towards the target region, this probing signal including a pseudo-random-noise sequence modulated onto a carrier signal, receiving a response signal (76) composed of components resulting from scattering of the probing signal (62) by respective portions of the target region, and repeatedly determining positions (Qy, QR) of the transmitter and/or receiver. The method further involves transforming the probing signal (62) into multiple test signals, each test signal being associated with a propagation path via a portion of the target region, and correlating each of the test signals with the response signal (76) in the time domain, to generate a map of correlation strength values associated with the portions of the target region.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods may be used for wirelessly communicating underwater (or through air) with equipment such as, but not necessarily limited to, automatic swimming pool cleaners (APCs). Such communication avoids any need for conventional wired communication with the APCs. At least some of the devices may be hand-held and capable of having at least portions immersed in water in normal use. The devices preferably do not use radio frequency (RF) signal to communication with APCs, instead employing light-based or other signal types.

In some examples, the ultrasound imaging system may include a neural networks to process the ensembles. In some examples, the neural network may include two serial neural networks. In some examples, during training of the neural network, a power Doppler-based flow mask may be used on the output of the neural network. In some examples, during training of the neural network, an adversarial loss may be used on the output of the neural network.

Abstract: A system for collecting data from multiple sensors at a central node is described. The system includes multiple pairs of sensor array multiplexers (SAMs) and sensors connected in series along the length of two cables each having a twisted wire pair. A first end of the length of the two cables is connected to the central node for receiving data from each of the multiple pairs. The multiple pairs include sensors of at least two different types, which may have different sampling rates. The first cable carries timing data between the multiple pairs and the central node and the second cable carries sensor data between the multiple pairs and the central node.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are described for gathering information on the health of individuals trapped in an accident to provide actionable information to a first responder system. In some implementations, a monitoring system monitors a property that includes sensors located at the property and generate first sensor data. A monitor control unit receives the first sensor data and generates an alarm event for the property based on the first sensor data. Based on generating the alarm event for the property, the monitor control unit dispatches an autonomous drone. The autonomous drone is configured to navigate the property. Using an onboard sensor, the autonomous drone generates second sensor data. Based on the second sensor data, the autonomous drone determines a location within the property where a person is likely located. The autonomous drone provides, for output, data indicating the location within the property where the person is likely located.
