    Abstract: Optische Vorrichtung (1) zur Erfassung einer Objektszene (11) mit einem abbildenden optischen System, umfassend eine zur Sammlung einfallender elektromagnetischer Strahlung ausgebildete Eintrittsoptik (13) und eine zur Umlenkung der elektromagnetischen Strahlung von der Eintrittsoptik (13) zu wenigstens einer Detektoreinheit (8) ausgebildete Umlenkoptik (16), wobei die Umlenkoptik (16) und/oder die Eintrittsoptik (13) um eine Längsachse (12) der optischen Vorrichtung (1) drehbar gelagert ist und die Eintrittsoptik (13) relativ zu der Umlenkoptik (16) um eine zur Längsachse (12) im Wesentlichen orthogonal ausgerichtete Nickachse (20) schwenkbar gelagert ist, wobei die optische Vorrichtung (1) dazu ausgebildet ist, zwischen zwei optischen Elementen der Umlenkoptik (16) ein Zwischenbild zu erzeugen, welches Zwischenbild mittels einer Äbbildungsoptik auf die wenigstens eine Detektoreinheit (8) abbildbar ist, wobei die Eintrittsoptik (13) dazu ausgebildet ist, den Strahlengang der Eintrittsoptik (13) mittels wenigstens eines refraktiven optischen Elements (15) zu fokussieren und/oder zu falten.

    Abstract: Entangled optical outputs are generated using one or more heralded entanglement sources, each comprising: first and second free-running entanglement sources, each providing a first (third) optical output comprising a quantum superposition of a pair of orthogonal optical modes, and a second (fourth) optical output comprising a quantum superposition of a pair of orthogonal optical modes; an optical module configured to perform an interferometric measurement based on optical interference between at least a portion of the first optical output and at least a portion of the third optical output, and to generate one or more detection signals based on the interferometric measurement in a series of time slots; and a trigger module configured to generate a trigger signal based on the one or more detection signals to indicate one or more time slots in which the second optical output and the fourth optical output are entangled with each other.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment of the present disclosure there is provided a radiation source for generating broadband radiation, the source comprising an input assembly for providing input radiation and a hollow-core photonic crystal fiber configured to receive and confine the input radiation coupled into the fiber for generating broadband radiation through spectral broadening; the input assembly comprising: a pump source configured to provide input radiation having an average power of at least 50 W; the hollow core photonic crystal fiber comprising: a hollow core having a diameter of at least 35 µm; and a cladding region comprising a plurality of anti-resonant structures surrounding the hollow core, the anti-resonant structures comprising a wall portion having a wall thickness smaller than half the wavelength of the lower end of a wavelength range of the broadband radiation.
