摘要: The present disclosure is directed toward measurement systems capable of optical analysis of a test sample. Embodiments in accordance with the present disclosure include a sample holder having a plurality of projections that extend from a planar surface, where the projections and planar surface collectively define an open sample-collection surface that enables an interrogation signal direct access to the test sample. The projections can be dimensioned and arranged to collectively define a geometric anti-reflection surface that is substantially non-reflective for the interrogation signal even at large angles of incidence. In some embodiments, the sample holder is configured as a reflective element that enables multiple passes of the interrogation signal through the test sample. In some embodiments, the sample holder is configured as a transmissive element. In some embodiments, the projections themselves are reflective.

摘要: An apparatus (100) for assisting diagnosis of a dermatological phenomenon (12) includes a variable wavelength light source (110). A camera (120) captures images of the dermatological phenomenon (12). A computer (130) controls the variable wavelength light source (110) and the camera (120). The computer (130) is programmed to: cause the light source (110) to illuminate the dermatological phenomenon with different wavelengths each at different times; capture an image of the dermatological phenomenon illuminated with each of the different wavelengths to generate a set of images (140); execute a neural network that has been trained with images of dermatological phenomena types with the set of images (140) to generate a probability that the set of images (140) corresponds to a selected phenomenon type; and indicate the probability that the dermatological phenomenon (12) corresponds to at least one of dermatological phenomena types.

摘要: Described herein is a process for correcting an observed color difference between a color at a first gloss and the color at a second gloss different than the first gloss, said process comprising the steps of: (a) determining a first correction caused by a lightness (Y-value) of the color a first gloss; (b) determining a second correction caused by an inclusion of a first surface diffusion in gloss readings; (c) based on the first and second corrections, determining a specular correction caused by a difference in specular reflections from the color at the first gloss and the color at the second gloss; (d) determining tristimulus corrections based on the specular correction; (e) preparing corrected tristimulus values of the color at a second gloss; and (f) producing a paint composition for the color at the second gloss using the corrected tristimulus values.

摘要: The single-use disposable spectrophotometer described herein can measure one or more blood chemistry analytes from a drop of whole blood. A passive filtration system takes whole blood and delivers plasma along with a dissolved reporter molecule to one or more spectrophotometers which can operate with narrow band optical spectrum centered on an optical detection frequency. The spectrophotometer detects the changes in absorption of the plasma as a result of a chemistry reaction to determine the concentration or activity of one or more analytes.
