A conveyor belt (13) includes a main body rubber (14) extending in a belt longitudinal direction, tension members (15) embedded in the main body rubber throughout a circumference of the main body rubber (14) in the belt longitudinal direction, and loop coils (16) embedded in the main body rubber (14) and having an annular shape in plan view taken in a belt thickness direction (T). The loop coils (16) are embedded at one side of the main body rubber (14) in the belt thickness direction (T), and the tension members (15) are embedded at the other side of the main body rubber (14) in the belt thickness direction (T) relative to the loop coils (16). The loop coils (16) are disposed above a cloth-shaped reinforcement (17) embedded in the main body rubber (14), and a Young's modulus of the cloth-shaped reinforcement (17) in a belt width direction (H) is higher than that of the main body rubber (14) in the belt width direction (H), and is higher than that of the cloth-shaped reinforcement (17) in the belt longitudinal direction. According to the conveyor belt (13), vertical cracks can be detected with high accuracy.

Disclosed is an article storage facility which can be downsized by minimizing the width of the travel path for a pair of stacker cranes, in which its configuration is simplified as much as possible, and in which its throughput can be efficiently improved. The control device is configured to perform a mutual avoidance vertical movement process in which a pair of vertically movable bodies are raised or lowered by a vertical movement operation for avoiding interference, which is different from the vertical movement operation in the article transporting operation to raise and lower the pair of vertically movable bodies, to the vertical positions for passing each other which are spaced apart in the vertical movement direction by a distance greater than or equal to the required separating distance which is defined as a separating distance which allows the pair of stacker cranes to pass each other without interfering.

A method includes wrapping one or more pieces of fabric around at least one piece of shape memory material. The method also includes attaching outer edges of the one or more pieces of fabric to other portions of the one or more pieces of fabric. The method further includes depositing liquid-impervious material onto the one or more pieces of fabric to form free-standing flexible walls and a floor of a containment structure. The floor is formed seamlessly with the walls. The wrapping could include attaching a bottom of the at least one piece of shape memory material to the one or more pieces of fabric at locations spaced apart from the outer edges of the one or more pieces of fabric. The wrapping could also include attaching sides of the at least one piece of shape memory material to the one or more pieces of fabric.

Resealable packaging for food products is provided with a flexible container having a top, bottom and side faces, a container aperture having lateral edges extending within the top face, and a flexible closure flap covered of repositionable adhesive on the lateral margins, which are peelable from a closed position in which they adhere around the aperture. The container having a supporting insert including a frame extending along the side faces and having a lower peripheral edge laying against the bottom face of the container. The frame may include foot portions and may have a top peripheral edge situated adjacent the top face and may have head portions between which two top panels extend. The insert covers the inner face of the container in the area on which the lateral margins adhere, to support it during the resealing. A method of manufacturing is also disclosed.

A closure that includes a top panel and a skirt extending downwardly from a peripheral edge of the top panel is provided. The skirt terminates in a plurality of spaced thread engagement flanges for engaging the thread of the neck of a container. The closure includes a polymer-filled channel which connects the top panel to the skirt. When engaged with the threaded neck of a container, the neck is forced into the channel and engaged by the polymer so that the channel and polymer provide lateral rigidity to the neck. This rigidity prevents the neck from deflecting from the forces resulting between the threads and thread engagement lugs when the forces therebetween are increased to the level required to adequately seal the closure to the container.

A collapsible container is provided. The collapsible container includes a substantially rigid upper rim, and a container portion that is made entirely of a flexible (collapsible) material. The flexible container has a base and side walls extending upward from the base. The side walls include at least one living hinge, and the base is formed with a structural ribbing configuration. The structural ribbing integrated into the base and formed of the flexible material creates a level of rigidity in the same that allows the entire container to collapse and extend without requirement any other materials incorporated into the container portion.

An eight-sided, octagonal carton having an increased width opening and strength as compared to a four-sided, rectangular carton, and providing for improved removal of a food product stored within the carton. The octagonal carton has a top panel, a bottom panel, and an octagonal sidewall comprising a pair of longitudinal segments and a pair of transverse end segments. The end segments further comprise a pair of individual panels that can fold at an angle to provide three sides along each end segment; two angled sides and one side perpendicular to the longitudinal segments. To gain access to the interior of the carton, only one of the panels needs to be opened creating an access opening through which the food product is extracted.
