Apparatus and associated methods relate to a risk trace matrix engine for managing database associations, in a quality management system (QMS), between risk mitigations and features of a system having a risk-based profile. The disclosed system and method provide a way to create, update, and execute dynamic goal plans. Updating a dynamic goal plan may be based on the initial sequence of actions of the goal plan as well as the corresponding states of the actions. By using a sequence to sequence model, a goal plan can still be processed when the length of the input (initial sequence of actions) differs from the length of the output (updated sequence of actions). A sequence to sequence model can determine the interdependencies between actions that can contribute to the optimal order in which actions can efficiently be performed. A single layer neural network or clustering can be used to approximate the state of a goal plan that may be capable infinite states. This approximation improves accuracy in capturing the state of a goal plan, thereby improving accuracy in predicting the future state of a system, which can help with planning (e.g., gathering resources in advance). Projects involving collaboration between virtual and/or human assistants can greatly benefit from the ability to update a dynamic goal plan in real time.

Techniques are described for a time series probabilistic forecasting framework that combines recurrent neural networks (RNNs) with a flexible, nonparametric representation of the output distribution. The representation is based on the nonparametric quantile function (instead of, for example, a parametric density function) and is trained by minimizing a continuous ranked probability score (CRPS) derived from the quantile function. Unlike methods based on parametric probability density functions and maximum likelihood estimation, the techniques described herein can flexibly adapt to different output distributions without manual intervention. Furthermore, the nonparametric nature of the quantile function provides a significant boost in the approach's robustness, making it more readily applicable to a wide variety of time series datasets.

A system stores resources such as text articles, videos, and so forth for an organization. During operation, the system receives a query and provides a response. During initial use of the system, there is little or no historical data available to help determine which resource is most relevant to a particular query. In this “cold-start” situation, the system determines attributes associated with a user account of the user making the query. The query is used to search a data store and retrieve a set of resources based on a term match with the query and to find the resources which correspond to the attributes of the user account. This allows the system to provide simplified output that is more likely to be relevant to that particular user in the “cold-start” situation.

An entry is added to a partition page table that maps a virtual address to a physical address and comprises access information that is R/W. A throttled flag is set in an entry of a partition page extension table. The throttle entry corresponds to the entry. The access information is saved in an original access part of the partition page extension table, and the access information is replaced with an R value. Upon application fault receipt, a throttling test is performed on an address of the application fault. If the throttling test is false, the fault is passed through to an operating system fault handler and the throttling fault stage is ended, otherwise, a delay is implemented for slowing access to the memory.
