The separator includes a porous substrate, and a coating layer on at least one surface of the porous substrate, wherein the coating layer includes a heat-resistant binder including a (meth)acrylic copolymer including a first structural unit derived from (meth)acrylamide, and a second structural unit including at least one of a structural unit derived from (meth)acrylic acid or (meth)acrylate, and a structural unit derived from (meth)acrylamidosulfonic acid or a salt; an adhesive binder having a core-shell structure; and inorganic particles, wherein the adhesive binder has an average particle diameter of 0.2 μm to 1.0 μm, and the inorganic particles have an average particle diameter of 0.2 μm to 1.0 μm.
