The aim of the invention is to improve the statics of the signal module with a simple structural design. This is achieved in that the housing module has a tubular casing (5a, 6a, 7a, 8a; 105a, 107a) with a longitudinal axis (5b, 6b, 7b, 8b; 105b, 107b) that extends in the mounting direction (13; 113), said casing being located between the housing portions (5f, 5g, 6f, 6g, 7f, 7g, 8f, 8g; 105f, 105g, 107f, 107g) and being designed separately from the housing portion that is connected to the support. The housing portion (5f, 6f, 6g, 7f, 7g, 8g; 105f, 107g) that is connected to the support (2, 3, 4; 102) is fixed to an end face (5a.2, 6a.1, 6a.2, 7a.1, 7a.2, 8a.1; 105a.2, 107a.1) of the tubular casing by means of at least one second connecting element (20; 120).
