A process for the production of a polyamide resin composition structure comprising melt-kneading 20 to 60 parts of a polyamide resin (A-1) with 40 to 80 parts of a ethylene copolymer, melt-kneading 100 parts of the resultant composition (I) with 0.01 to 20 parts of a polyfunctional compound, wherein the polyfuctional compound is previously melt-kneaded with a resin inert to the polyfuctional compound; and melt-kneading 100 parts by weight of the resultant composition with from 50 to 1,000 parts by weight of further polyamide resin to maintain stability. The resultant composition has well-balanced physical properties, such as impact resistance, rigidity, and thermal resistance, and excellent moldability.

An adhesive composition comprises by weight: (A) 2 to 98% of an ethylene copolymer comprising from 50 to 90% of ethylene, up to 49% by weight of an alkyl ester of a C3 to 8 alpha ,ss-unsaturated carboxylic acid and from 0.5 to 10% of maleic anhydride; (B) 2 to 98% of a crystalline polyethylene resin comprising (i) an ethylene homopolymer or (ii) a copolymer of ethylene and an alpha -olefin having 3 or more carbon atoms, the ethylene content being 90% by weight or more; and (C) 2 to 50%, of a non-crystalline or low crystalline olefin copolymer rubber comprising a copolymer of ethylene and an alpha -olefin having 3 or more C atoms, e.g. propylene, and optionally up to 3% of a non-conjugated diene ; the sum of the monomers in (A) and of components (A), (B) and (C) being each 100%. (B) and (C) are respectively of high and low rigidity of flexural rigidity modulus respectively 1500 kg/cm or more and below 1500 kg/cm . The composition has good adhesion to polar materials, e.g. to copolymers of ethylene and PVA.

An impact-resistant polyamide resin is produced by preparing Mixture (I) by melt-kneading (A) a polyamide resin with (B) at least one modified olefin polymer,which is an olefin rubber having an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride added thereto, an α-olefin polymer having an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride added thereto, a crystalline ethylene-α-olefin copolymer having an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride added thereto, or an ethylene-ethylenic unsaturated ester copolymers having an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride added thereto, preparing Mixture (II) by melt-kneading Mixture (I) with (C) a polyfunctional compound having in the molecule two or more functional groups reactive with carboxyl groups,carboxylic acid anhydride groups or amino groups and melt-kneading Mixture (II) with (D) a polyamide resin. The impact-resistant polyamide resin composition obtained by the process of the present invention has an excellent processability and can be made into various molded products, sheets or films by injection molding or extrusion molding. The thus obtained products have good physical properties, in particular, an excellent impact strength.
