Abstract: The invention provides a composition comprising at least the following components: A) an ethylene/α-olefin/nonconjugated polyene interpolymer that has the following properties: i) a rheology ratio (V0.1/V100 at 190° C.) greater than, or equal to, 35; ii) a weight average molecular weight (Mw) greater than, or equal to, 200,000 g/mol; and iii) a CCDB (Chemical Composition Distribution Breadth) less than 7; B) a thermoplastic polymer; C) a vulcanization agent; and wherein the interpolymer comprises incorporated oil. The invention also provides a composition comprising the following: A) a first composition comprising: a) a first ethylene/α-olefin/nonconjugated polyene interpolymer; b) a second ethylene/α-olefin/nonconjugated polyene interpolymer; and wherein the first composition has the following properties: i) an MWD less than, or equal to, 3.5, ii) a Mooney Viscosity (ML (1+4, 125° C.)) greater than, or equal to, 60, iii) a CCDB from 7 to 15; B) a thermoplastic polymer; C) a vulcanization agent; and wherein the first interpolymer and the second interpolymer comprise incorporated oil.

Abstract: A flame-retardant resin composition containing a base resin composed of polyethylene and an acid-modified polyolefin, calcium carbonate, aluminum hydroxide, a silicone compound, and a fatty acid-containing compound is disclosed. In this flame-retardant resin composition, the density of the low-density polyethylene is 912.4 kg/m 3 or less, the content rate of the polyethylene in the base resin is 80% by mass or more and 99% by mass or less, the content rate of the acid-modified polyolefin in the base resin is 1% by mass or more and 20% by mass or less, the calcium carbonate is blended at a proportion of 10 parts by mass or more and 120 parts by mass or less with respect to 100 parts by mass of the base resin, the aluminum hydroxide is blended at a proportion of 5 parts by mass or more and 150 parts by mass or less with respect to 100 parts by mass of the base resin, the silicone compound is blended at a proportion of 1.5 parts by mass or more and 10 parts by mass or less with respect to 100 parts by mass of the base resin, and the fatty acid-containing compound is blended at a proportion of 5 parts by mass or more and 20 parts by mass or less with respect to 100 parts by mass of the base resin.

The (A-1) component has a content of 50 mass% or more when the flame-retardant resin composition minus ash content, corresponding to a residue obtained upon burning of the flame-retardant resin composition, is taken to be 100 mass%. A shaped article of 12.6 cm in length, 1.3 cm in width, and 1.6 mm in thickness formed from the flame-retardant resin composition exhibits a rate of change of chloroform-insoluble content of 15 mass% or less through aging in which the shaped article is left for 1,000 hours at 150°C in an atmospheric air.

A mass ratio of content of the natural rubber to content of the butadiene rubber (natural rubber content:butadiene rubber content) is 25:75 to 45:55.
