摘要: Provided is a clear coating composition from which a coating film superior in color shift and appearance can be obtained. A clear coating composition comprising: a hydroxy group-containing acrylic resin (A); a polyisocyanate compound (B); and an organic solvent (C), wherein the hydroxy group-containing acrylic resin (A) includes a primary hydroxy group-containing acrylic resin (A1) and a secondary hydroxy group-containing acrylic resin (A2); the primary hydroxy group-containing acrylic resin (A1) has a weight average molecular weight of 6,000 or less; the secondary hydroxy group-containing acrylic resin (A2) has a weight average molecular weight of 6,000 or more; the organic solvent (C) includes a ketone compound having 7 or more carbon atoms (C1); and the clear coating composition has a solid concentration at a time of application of 55% by mass or more.

摘要: The present invention relates to an anti-microbial coating composition comprising: 30 to 60 weight % of a polyester resin; 3 to 15 weight % of a curing agent; 0.1 to 5 weight % of an anti-microbial agent; 0.1 to 15 weight % of a pigment; and the balance of a solvent on the basis of the total weight of the coating composition. The present invention also relates to an anti-microbial coated steel sheet comprising: a steel sheet; and an anti-microbial coating layer formed on at least one surface of the steel sheet, wherein an anti-microbial agent is contained in at least a part of the anti-microbial coating layer and has a Z/(M+Ca) content ratio of 0.1 to 0.5 wherein M is Ca, Ba, Mg, Zn, Ni, Fe, or Al and Z is P, As, V, or Si. The antimicrobial coating composition according to the present invention contains an anti-microbial agent, and when the composition is formed into a coating layer, the antimicrobial agent is enriched at the surface of the coating layer. Thus, microbes adsorbed, along with moisture, onto the coating surface are effectively killed by the hydroxy radical species and hydroxy anions generated on the coating surface. The coated steel sheet using the anti-microbial coating composition according to the present invention has excellent design properties as well as excellent workability and chemical resistance.

摘要: Disclosed are pigmented multifunctional barrier coating compositions for application to components such as aircraft interior components. In embodiments, compositions include a base coating component in an amount from 5 to 40 weight percent of the composition, a solvent in an amount from 50 to 70 weight percent of the composition, and at least two performance components from an FST-resistive component in an amount from 0.1 to 5 weight percent of the composition, a UV-resistive component in an amount from 0.1 to 2 weight percent of the composition, an antimicrobial component in an amount from 0.1 to 5 weight percent of the composition, and a dye component in an amount less than 0.5 weight percent of the composition. The composition further includes pigment in an amount up to 10 weight percent of the composition for imparting a cosmetic appearance to the component such as a metallic appearance.

摘要: The present disclosure provides methods for forming a fluoropolymer coated component, such as a metal component, comprising applying an adhesion promoter onto a surface of the component; applying an organic material onto the adhesion promoter; and applying a mixture comprising a fluoropolymer and a solvent selected from a furan or a fluorinated solvent onto the organic material. Aspects of the present disclosure further provide fluoropolymer coatings having a thickness of from about 5 mil to about 80 mil on a component, an average porosity of from about 20% to about 70% based on the total volume of the layer, and a void density of from about 10 11 to about 10 13 voids per cm 3 .
