    摘要: The invention provides a powdered composition that upon mixing with milk or water will produce a tart dairy drink or upon mixing with milk in a soft ice cream machine forms a soft ice cream without the presence of gelatine therein, the composition comprising about 1 to about 15% of an edible acid, about 0 to about 6% of a pretreated starch, about 0 to 10% of a dried cultured milk powder, about 0.3 - 90% sweeteners, about 0 to 7% colors and flavors, about 0 to 50% milk powder and a mixture of at least two gums selected from guar gum, carob gum and xanthan gum, each of said individual gums being present in said mixture in an amount from about 0.3 to 4% and the total amount of said mixture of gums being from about 2.3% to 8% by wt of the powdered composition.

The assembly comprises a plurality of windings (4, 6, 8), separate for each phase, wound on and along a single, axially directed core (2). The core is constituted by at least one ferromagnetic body which may be solid or hollow. The thickness of at least the portions of the core covered by the windings, i.e. the diameter of the solid rod, or the thickness of the solid part of the hollow body, is greater than 1.6 mm.

    摘要: There is provided a disappearing sprinkler device connectable to a water supply line. The sprinkler device comprises a housing (2) of an elongated cross-section open at its top, and a pair of telescoping, tubular members (8,10). The first member (8) is stationary and the second member (10) is upwardly extendable by application of water pressure and downwardly retractable when the water pressure is reduced to below a given threshold. The housing is provided with a cover plate (18) which is fixedly attached to the sprinkler (16). The device also comprises a cam-like member (26) co-acting with guide means (22) to such effect that when the water pressure is reduced to below a given threshold the upwardly extended second member carrying the sprinkler is retracted. The rotary sprinkler, prior to its complete re-entry into the housing and regardless of its angular position at the instant the water pressure was reduced, is automatically oriented to assume an angular position of alignment with the elongated cross-section of the housing so that, upon further retraction, it will freely enter the housing.

    摘要: An electronic starter circuit for a discharge lamp is pro- . vided. The lamp (8) has preheatable electrodes (10, 12), a pair of terminals of which electrodes are connectable to a pair of input terminals (2, 4) of an AC voltage source. The starter comprises a thyristor switch (16) connected in series to another pair of terminals of the lamp electrodes and an ignition circuit connected to the thyristor switch. The thyristor switch is controllable by the ignition circuit, which ignition circuit, upon actuation of the starter, repeatedly, for a predetermined number of cycles calculated by the characteristics and values of the ignition circuit elements to ensure a definite ignition of the lamp (8) under standard conditions, renders the thyristor switch (16) conductive. The ignition circuit cuts off the conduction of the thyristor switch upon the ignition of the lamp (8) or the termination of the predetermined number of cycles.
