摘要: The invention relates to systems for purification and/or desalination of liquids, mostly water, used in domestic and/or drinking water supply in residential and/or industrial environment, summer cottages and garden plots. The liquid purification system comprising a system raw liquid feed unit, in which concentrate is displaced from a container made as a liquid concentration device comprising an internal partition under the pressure exerted by the raw liquid thereon, the internal partition dividing inner space of the liquid concentration device into a variable volume collection cavity for raw liquid coming at the initial stage of liquid filtration and for mixing therein the concentrate and the raw liquid, which is connected, via a connection element, to a primary raw liquid supply line after pressurizing means and to a line for recycling the concentrate into the liquid concentration device, and a raw liquid displacement cavity connected to a secondary line for supplying raw liquid to the cavity and intended to displace concentrate from the collection cavity of the liquid concentration device by raw liquid coming from the second line by the pressure of raw liquid on the partition in drain liquid discharge process and to recycle raw liquid from the displacement cavity of the liquid concentration device through the same line under pressure exerted by concentrate and raw liquid present in the collection cavity of the liquid concentration device on the internal partition of the liquid concentration device, and a filtration unit for providing long-term contact between raw liquid and concentrate in the variable-volume collection cavity for raw liquid coming at the initial stage of raw liquid filtration and for mixing therein the concentrate and raw liquid in the liquid filtration process, to provide smooth increase in the concentration of liquid supplied to the at least one liquid purification means owing to mixing raw liquid with the concentrate in the collection cavity of the container, in which an inlet of at least one liquid purification means is connected through a line for supplying the mixture of concentrate and raw liquid, in which liquid velocity increasing means is mounted, directly to the collection cavity of the liquid concentration device; and the line for recycling the concentrate from the at least one liquid purification means to the liquid concentration device is connected via a connection element to the line for mixing the concentrate and raw liquid and to the primary raw liquid supply line. The object and technical result achieved in use of the invention is to provide a new ergonomic liquid purification system, to reduce simultaneously the amount of energy and raw liquid supplied to the liquid purification system at effective use of these resources for purification of liquid.

摘要: Method for detecting transparent exopolymer particles in a water sample. The method comprises step of obtaining a water sample and introducing a fluorochromatic reagent to the water sample. The fluorochromatic reagent is specific to vicinal hydroxide groups of transparent exopolymer particles, whereby the fluorescence signal of the reagent changes when it comes into contact with transparent exopolymer particles, i.e. TEP. Finally the fluorescence signal from the water sample is detected and the TEP level of the sample is determined.

摘要: Methods of conditioning a membrane utilized for water purification are provided. The methods monitor membrane performance during water purification or membrane conditioning via fluorometric measurement. The monitoring allows for the detection of removal efficiency of the fluorescing substance. A conditioner is introduced in the feed stream to increase the detected removal efficiency of a fluorescing substance by the membrane. The conditioner generally extends the useful life of the membrane being conditioned.

摘要: The method for purifying liquids purifies a saline liquid, e.g., salt water, using a plurality of first phase reverse osmosis (RO) units and at least one final phase reverse osmosis unit. The plurality of first phase reverse osmosis units are arranged in series. At least some of the concentrate in a last reverse osmosis unit of the series is recycled back to the permeate or output side of that unit to provide a mixed permeate. The mixed permeate is then passed successively to the permeate side of each preceding reverse osmosis unit in the series. This increases the salt content of the liquid in the permeate side of each phase, thus reducing the concentration differential across reverse osmosis membranes of the first phase reverse osmosis units.
