The present invention relates to a drying system, and according to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a drying system comprising a transfer conveyor for transporting loaded particles, a particle dispersing device including a rotary member provided at one side of the transfer conveyor and having a rotation center, a drive part for rotating the rotary member and a particle supply part mounted on the rotary member and having particles stored therein, and a heating part for drying the particles loaded on the transfer conveyor in a transfer process, wherein the heating part comprises a heat exchanger and a blast fan, and is provided such that air discharged from the blast fan is supplied to the transfer conveyor after passing through the heat exchanger.

The present invention relates to a method for early detection of carbonization during the drying of an organic material. The method of the present invention measures temperature variation per unit time of exhaust gas containing water (H2O), carbon monoxide (CO), or carbon dioxide (CO2), which are to be generated by the pyrolysis of an organic material, and the concentration of carbon monoxide/carbon dioxide of the exhaust gas, so as to determine the occurrence of carbonization therethrough, thereby enabling early detection of carbonization within a dryer.

The application relates to an energy efficient a drying system for lowering the moisture content in loose bulk materials and single piece materials by using heated, dry air, the system comprises an air inlet through a heat pump evaporator unit, a heat pump condenser unit, a drying unit, a heat exchanger unit, a fan and air channels for closed transport of an airflow from the air inlet through the system. The fan is arranged to cause air to flow into the air inlet through the heat pump evaporator unit and to maintain an airflow through the system; the heat pump evaporator unit is at least partly encased, the evaporator includes a refrigerant absorbing heat from the surrounding air of which a portion flows into the system through the heat pump evaporator unit, thereby producing a cold and dehumidified air flow; the heat pump condenser unit is encased defining a volume in which the refrigerant releases the heat absorbed at the evaporator to the airflow, producing a heated, dry airflow which is introduced to the drying unit; and the heat exchanger unit is arranged to transfer heat from the airflow leaving the drying unit to the cold, dehumidified air flowing from the heat pump evaporator unit. The application also describes a drying process using the drying system.

The present invention relates to a woodworking industry and may be used for hydrothermal treatment of wood, wood materials, and woodware The object of the present invention is to increase hydrophobicity of wood. According to the present invention the object is achieved by that wood is heated up to 120-160°C in a steam atmosphere, in which it is seasoned, and then wood is cooled up to room temperature, and heated during the first stage at a rate 0.16-0.22°/min up to 100°C, and then the heating rate of obtained steam is decreased up to 0.11-0.13 °/min until the temperature of 160°C is reached, and wood is seasoned at the temperature of 160°C during 1-3 hours at a steam pressure 0.6-0.7 MPa, and cooled up to the temperature of 20°C during 6-8 hours. the method of hydrothermal treatment of wood according to the present invention allows increasing hydropphobicity of wood by several times along with saving energy costs. Moreover, hydrophobicity values of treated wood are higher than those of impregnated wood.

The apparatus is a furnace that includes multiple gravity-feed trays and a heat transfer fluid that heats material by the heat evolved during phase change. The apparatus also includes moving paddles that urge the material through each tray. The method provides for the torrefying of the material using a phase-change heat-transfer fluid by providing the material sequentially to at least two trays, where the at least two trays are substantially horizontal and disposed at different vertical heights; condensing the vapor phase at a temperature; and providing heat from the condensing the vapor phase to the material, where the temperature is sufficient to torrefy the material.
