    摘要: The invention relates to an electromechanical disc brake (10). To achieve a brake booster action, the disc brake (10) is configured with a multiple brake cylinder (24), which can be displaced in the secant direction of a brake disc (20) and has a friction brake lining piston (22), which can be displaced transversally in relation to the brake disc (20), in addition to two brake booster pistons (26), located opposite one another, which can be displaced parallel to the brake disc (20). Said booster pistons rest on fixed abutments (36), for example on the inner face of a brake calliper (12) of the disc brake (10). To actuate the disc brake (10), the multiple brake cylinder (24) is displaced in the rotational direction (46) of the brake disc (20), which causes the front brake booster piston (26), (viewed from the direction of displacement) to retract into the brake cylinder (24), pressing the friction brake lining (18) against the brake disc (20) by means of the friction brake lining piston (22). A friction force exerted by the rotating brake disc (20) on the friction brake lining (18) presses the multiple brake cylinder (24) further in the direction of displacement, thus intensifying a pressure exerted by the brake booster piston (26) on the friction brake lining (22), which in turn increases the braking force.

According to the invention, the planetary gears (16, 18) are provided with a first electromagnetic coupling (38, 40, 52) with which a sun wheel (22) of the second planetary gear (18) can be stopped or rotationally fixed to a sun wheel (20) of the first planetary gear (16), and a second electromagnetic coupling (44, 46, 48, 54), with which an internal-geared wheel (30) of the second planetary gear (18) can be stopped or rotationally fixed to an internal-geared wheel (28) of the first planetary gear (16). The invention has the advantage that by using the electromotor (34) and switching the two couplings (38, 40, 52; 44, 46, 48, 54), the roller screw drive (74, 82, 84) can be driven rapidly in order to overcome an air gap, slowly and with considerable reduction in order to then apply a considerable braking force and rapidly for releasing without changing the direction of rotation of the electromotor (34). For use as a parking brake, both couplings (38, 40, 52; 44, 46, 48, 54) are switched to currentless, hereby blocking the second planetary gear (18) and maintaining an applied braking force when the electromotor (34) is currentless.

A caliper drive of the ball bearing mechanical disc brake has a plurality of ramps (162, 200) between first (158) and second (178) cams of the drive mechanism with each ramp having a sidewall defining a radially stable path for a ball bearing (176) residing within the ramp. A spring tension adjuster for the ball bearing mechanical disc brake includes a coil spring (228) having a first end ((230) attached to a pivot arm and a second end (232) fixed relative to the first end. One of the first and second ends is moveable independent of the lever arm to adjust and maintain a select spring tension.
