摘要: A Coriolis flow meter for measuring a liquid volume fraction of a multiphase flow. The Coriolis meter includes a vibrating measurement conduit through which the multiphase flow, a wet gas flow or the like, is flowed and measured and/or analyzed. Operation of the Coriolis flow meter includes obtaining a measure of the input energy required to vibrate the conduit and a measure of the vibrational energy of the conduit, and determining the liquid volume fraction of the wet gas flow from the input energy and the vibrational energy. The liquid volume fraction may be used to correct other measurements made by the Coriolis flow meter such as density or mass flow rate.

摘要: Systems and devices are provided that relate to a gas-filled radiation detector with an internal optical fiber (50). The internal optical fiber (50) may detect photons (59) emitted during ionization avalanche events triggered by incident radiation. Such a radiation detector may include a housing, a fill gas (48) within the housing, and an optical fiber (50)within the housing. The fill gas may interact with radiation through an ionization avalanche that produces light. The optical fiber (50) within the housing may capture the light and transmit the light out of the housing.

摘要: Systems and methods for estimating standoff and/or caliper in a wellbore for oil-based mud drilling are provided. The systems include a sensor having a primary electrode and at least two secondary electrodes, and an electronics subsystem having a controller and a processor for driving the system and correlating current measurements with standoff and/or caliper. The electrodes are positioned relative to one another such that there is a distinct flow of current between the primary electrode and each secondary electrode. In operation, a single excitation frequency is applied to the primary electrode and a simultaneous measurement of current flowing between the primary electrode and each secondary electrode is obtained. Standoff is estimated from the measurements. The estimations can be independent of formation properties when an appropriate excitation frequency is used.
