A precoding method, a precoding apparatus, a Frequency Domain Equalization (FDE) method, and an FDE apparatus are provided in the embodiments of the present invention. The precoding method includes: performing offset modulation for a transmitting signal vector; calculating a precoding matrix according to the offset-modulated transmitting signal vector and a receiver decision signal vector, where the precoding matrix is used for performing precoding for the transmitting signal vector; and performing precoding for the transmitting signal vector according to the precoding matrix. Linear precoding is performed by using the offset-modulated signal on the transmitter, and therefore, the interference caused by multiple antennas and multipath propagation is reduced, the system BER is reduced, and the complexity of implementation is low.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for sending an uplink multi-user transmission trigger frame, an access point, and a station. The access point sends, to a station, a beacon frame that carries a trigger frame information element, where the trigger frame information element includes sending information of a trigger frame. The station obtains a target transmission time sequence of the trigger frame according to the sending information. The access point contends for a channel when a target transmission time of the trigger frame arrives, and the access point sends the trigger frame to the station after the contention succeeds. In this case, the station switches to an active state, and receives the trigger frame by listening to the channel, and the station performs uplink transmission according to indication of the trigger frame after receiving the trigger frame. In this way, when signaling overheads are not increased and reliability is ensured, a station can learn of a sending time of a trigger frame, and the station remains in a receiving state in an appropriate period of time.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for transmitting a physical layer protocol data unit PPDU, including: some data subcarriers of a last orthogonal frequency division multiplexing OFDM symbol that carries useful information and that is in the PPDU carry a data symbol sequence, the other data subcarriers of the last OFDM symbol that carries useful information carry a feature signal sequence, and a starting position of the feature signal sequence is determined by parsing the PPDU. The embodiments of the present invention further provide a corresponding PPDU transmission apparatus. Application of the method and apparatus in the embodiments of the present invention enables a receive end to quickly determine the starting position of the feature signal sequence by means of blind detection, and ensures that the receive end quickly completes data processing and state switching.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, an access point, and a station for transmitting channel state information. The method includes: receiving, by a station, a feedback indication message, a high-efficiency long training sequence, and a resource scheduling message that are sent by an access point; and when it is determined that the station belongs to target stations, feeding back an acknowledgement message to the access point by using a communication resource indicated by the resource scheduling message. The feedback indication message is used to indicate at least two target STAs that need to feed back channel state information to the AP, and the high-efficiency long training sequence is used to determine channel state information of the STA. In the embodiments of the present invention, an acknowledgement message is fed back to an access point. In this way, resource waste caused when some stations cannot immediately perform feedback can be avoided, and channel state information transmission efficiency can be improved.
