    摘要: The present invention relates to a polyester sewing thread usable for a fabric for an airbag and a cushion for an airbag. In particular, the present invention relates to a polyester sewing thread for an airbag obtained by doubling and twisting a specific polyester yarn including a plurality of polyester filaments, and bonding the polyester yarn in the manner of in-bonding, out-bonding, or in-and-out bonding, and a preparation method thereof. According to the present invention, the polyester fiber having high strength, middle elongation, and dry heat shrinkage may be used to implement excellent physical properties similar to those of a sewing thread using existing polyamide fiber (Nylon 66), and to implement sufficient performance as a sewing thread for an airbag when conducting a static test after the cushion for an airbag is actually manufactured. Therefore, the present invention provides a polyester sewing thread for an airbag having excellent performance and high competitive price to be used as a substitute for existing polyamide (Nylon 66) sewing thread for an airbag.
