Abstract:
Known textile flat structures contain precious metal wire or they are composed completely thereof. In order to achieve high flexural and tensile strength with, at the same time, high flexibility of the flat structure, it is proposed according to the invention that the precious metal wire is configured as a precious metal cord (1) which comprises a plurality of braids (3) or a plurality of individual precious metal wires (2) or a combination of braids and individual precious metal wires which are in each case laid around one another and/or twisted around one another.
Abstract:
A method is described for reducing the afterflame of a flammable, meltable material. A textile composite is described comprising an outer textile comprising a flammable, meltable material, and a heat reactive material comprising a polymer resin-expandable graphite mixture.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a woven airbag fabric (1) comprising a first type of filament yarn, said first type of filament yarn being chosen from the group of polyolefin filament yarns, and at least a second type of filament yarn, said second type of filament yarn being chosen from the group of polyamide and polyester filament yarns, said woven airbag fabric (1) comprising a silicone-based coating (7).
Abstract:
A suede-type leather-like sheet having excellent appearance and exhibiting an excellent deodorizing effect and a soft feel in combination without agglomeration of napped fibers or deterioration in the appearance (whitening) due to the deodorant is provided. The deodorant suede-type leather-like sheet comprises a fiber-entangled fabric comprising a microfine fiber and a particulate deodorant, wherein the surface area of the microfine fiber per the unit volume of the fiber-entangled fabric is 3×10 3 to 9x10 4 cm 2 /cm 3 , and at least a portion of the deodorant having an average diameter of primary particles of 0.1 µm or smaller is present on the surface of the microfine fiber.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a composition including an acid-stable inorganic binder and fibres. The composition includes at least one inorganic binder and fibres, wherein the inorganic binder comprises water glass, the fraction of the composition which is attributable to water glass preferably being in the range from 2% to 99% by weight or 6% to 94% by weight or 11% to 89% by weight or 21% to 79% by weight. The fibre material is present as a weave and/or knit and/or scrim and/or net and/or fibrous nonwoven web and/or as hollow fibres. Owing to its high strength coupled with low weight, this material of construction is very useful for fabricating ready-made components for structural and civil engineering. In addition, it is also very easy to produce structural components and engineered structures on site. It is possible to realize very light components, to achieve very delicate geometries and, owing to the favourable strength-to-weight ratio, to build unusually high structures.
