    摘要： An apparatus comprising a delivery fan (3) having a plurality of sets of blades (9) formed at constant circumferential spacings on a rotary shaft (8) for receiving successive sheets, one in each spacing, from an infeed conveyor (1). The sheets on the delivery fan successively fall therefrom on hitting abutment means (24), onto delivery means (4, 5) to be stacked thereon. Also included is a temporary sheet holder (7) angularly displaceable relative to the delivery fan about the same axis therewith, to and away from a working position where the temporary sheet holder temporarily receives the sheets from the delivery fan pending replacement of a preformed stack of sheets on the delivery means. In order to be driven from its retracted to working position at the same angular velocity as the delivery fan without use of separate drive motors or the like, the temporary sheet holder (7) is mounted on the shaft (8) of the delivery fan (3) via a pair of overrunning clutches (45) which prevent the temporary sheet holder from rotating faster than the delivery fan shaft in a direction from the retracted to the working position. By being sprung in that direction, the sheet holder is enabled to travel at the same angular velocity as the delivery fan. An actuator mechanism (63) is provided for retracting the sheet holder against the spring bias.

A counter rotation stop mechanism, which allows the primary paper feed roller to rotate in a paper feed direction but prevents the primary paper feed roller from rotating in a counter direction to the paper feed direction, and a rotation stop release mechanism, which releases a state in which the primary paper feed roller is prevented from rotating in the counter direction by the counter rotation stop mechanism, are also provided.

The device (100) is provided with an improvement consisting of a cap (141) capable of moving in sync with the cyclical motion of the tray (13) with respect to the main feeding roller (27), so as to prevent, by coming between the auxiliary roller (130) and the sheets (14), any contact between them, at least during the motion of the tray (13). In this way, the front edges (140) of the sheets 14 can access the path (131) without running the risk of being crumpled and/or damaged by the auxiliary roller (130) with its rotation.

Die Vereinzelungsstufe gibt die Gegenstände (2) einzeln aus, ohne daß sie umgelenkt werden. Sie fallen hochkantig aus der Maschine und können so einer weiteren Vorrichtung (1), wie z.B. eine Frankiermaschine, zur Weiterverarbeitung übergeben werden. Die Maschine kann Stapel mit Gegenständen (2) mit unterschiedlichem Format und einer Dicke von bis zu 6mm verarbeiten. Die Fallhöhe der Gegenstände (2) ist verstellbar und kann dem Format der vereinzelten Gegenstände (2) und anderen Anforderungen angepasst werden. Nebst der Ausgabe der Gegenstände (2) nach unten kann die Maschine auch für andere Ausgaberichtungen der Gegenstände (2) vorgesehen werden.
