Each handling unit comprises: a support assembly (81), which extends in a vertical Y-axis direction; and at least one container taking and conveying assembly, which is controlled by a driving assembly to move along the support assembly (81) in the Y-axis direction. Each container taking and conveying assembly comprises a taking and placing assembly (3) and a bearing assembly (2), wherein the taking and placing assembly (3) takes a container from and places same on a carrier. Each carrier is provided with at least two rows and at least two columns of container storage units, wherein one container storage unit comprises at least one storage position, and one storage position can accommodate at least one container. The at least two handling units are configured to handle containers on the same carrier. The container handling device takes and places containers by means of simultaneously operating the at least two handling units, such that the working efficiency is effectively improved.

This application provides a carrying device, a transport robot, an inventory method, and an inventory system. The transport robot includes a carrying device. The carrying device includes: a bracket; a tray, mounted to the bracket and configured to place goods; a weight detection device, configured to detect a weight of the goods placed on the tray; and a retractable arm assembly, configured to push the goods placed on the tray out of the tray or pull the goods to the tray. Compared with the prior art, in the carrying device and the transport robot having the carrying device in embodiments of this application, the weight detection device is arranged on the tray of the carrying device to detect the weight of the goods placed on the tray. The quantity of the goods may be determined according to the weight of the goods. Therefore, the low goods carrying efficiency due to manual goods inventory is avoided.

In a situation where it is accommodated in the storage area the carrier comprises a gripping element (31) on a side oriented outside the storage area, and the transporter comprises a gripping device (23) acting on the gripping element at least during displacement of the carrier into and/or out of the storage area. Space can thus be saved in the storage area laterally of carriers placed therein, and a compact configuration of the storage area can be realized.

The conveyor (4) loops around fixed turning rolls (9) and around displaceable turning rolls (8) positioned on a trolley (17) which can be displaced back and forth between the fixed turning rolls (9). The buffer storage is established in that a drive member (14) for the conveyor (4) is provided both at the inlet and the discharge station (2, 3). Any one of these two drive members is constructed to be operated at a speed that is different from the speed of the other drive member. As the trolley (17) is in a freely displaceable position, a difference in speed will mean that the conveyor section (24) between the trolley (17) and the fixed turning rolls at one side of the plant may be enlarged and reduced. The conveyor section (24) will run between the two stations without being loaded with items for storage.
