    摘要: The water aeration capsules provide a quick and highly portable system for aerating polluted water. The capsules contain bubbles of air, oxygen, and/or other gas(es) surrounded by a water soluble shell or membrane of a suitable substance, e.g., various salts, sugars, watersoluble polymers, such as polyvinyl alcohol. The capsules are ballasted to make their specific gravity greater than the water they displace. The ballast may comprise any non-toxic metal, sand, clay, or other non-organic material, and/or fish bait or other food for aquatic animals. Magnetically attractive ballast elements may be provided, and a magnetic sheet may be placed on the bottom of a smaller body of water to enhance the settling of the capsules. Various means of dispensing the capsules from various mobile carriers are also disclosed, including dispensing by hand from shore or by a diver, from a small boat or larger ship, and/or from aircraft.

    摘要: The injection of oxygen to a flotation basin in the process of removing pollutants from water streams of the type comprising the steps of: applying a flocculating or coagulating agent that are quickly mixed with each other (1) to a portion of the water stream to be treated; creating a flocculation basin along said water stream so that suspended particles may aggregate upstream same, thus generating larger flakes. The injection of oxygen consists of submitting said aggregate particles with higher dimension and density located upstream said portion of the water stream to at least one step of dissolving and injecting oxygen from a concentration plant (5), then directing same to dissolving plants through pressurized mixers (3), thus forming a water/oxygen mixture to be injected to portions (6) of the water stream, causing said aggregate particles to float; creating a flotation basin along said portion of the water stream so that the floated material may agglomerate upstream same, said floated and agglomerated material that is present upstream on the surface and by the banks of the water stream being removed by scraping the surface of the water stream.

    摘要: An aspirator includes a plurality aspirator tubes, each preferably extending at approximately 70 degrees from a central axis and including a fin extending a limited distance below the aspirator tube outlet. The design improves mixing and gas contact, yet has reduced power requirements, by using a plurality of debris-shedding, finned aspirator tubes to inject approximately 35% more air than the best prior art designs at the same rotational speed. Further, the aspirator of the present invention improves motor life by reducing the average current draw on the motor. The aspirator is useful in many applications, including sewage and wastewater treatment, oxygenation, fermentation, aeration, hydrogenation, oxidation, and oil-sand separation.

    摘要: A method for impelling water in e.g. a lake (2) by with a pump (1) transforming the waves of the lake into whirling water (14) which is sent down towards the bottom (4) of the water area. The pump comprises a horizontally extending whirl pipe (7) with a longitudinal slot (8) and at least one preferably curvedly extending baffle (9) with a top front edge (10a) mainly facing a wave front in the lake in operation and a bottom rear edge (10b) extending along the slot. Both ends of the whirl pipe are fluid-connected to a submersible pipe (16) extending down towards the bottom of the water area. The pump is simple and reliable as it functions without movable parts. The pump can without costs for external energy take surface water high in oxygen and atmospheric air down to enrich "dead" bottom water low in oxygen. At the same time the pump can advantageously be used for removing undesired constituents such as superfluous biomass from the lake and add desired additives such as lime to this.
