摘要： Magnetic resonance acoustography images are acquired in real time using a one-dimensional magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) pulse sequence in which a column of tissue is excited. A spin-echo MRE pulse sequence and a gradient-echo MRE pulse sequence are described which employ a broadband motion sensitizing gradient that enables an asynchronous transducer to be used to produce the oscillatory stress in the subject tissues.

摘要： MRA data is acquired form a large region of interest by translating the patient through the bore of the MRI system as a three-dimensional MRA data set are acquired. Patient table movement is controlled to track a bolus of contrast agent as it passes through the region of interest. Fluoroscopic images may be acquired during the scan to enable accurate bolus tracking. A seamless images of the entire region of interest is reconstructed.

摘要： Methods for performing rapid and accurate thermocycling on a sample are disclosed. Use of non-contact heating and cooling sources allows precise temperature control with sharp transitions from one temperature to another to be achieved. A wide range of temperatures can be accomplished according to these methods. In addition, thermocycling can be performed without substantial temperature gradients occurring in the sample. Apparatus for achieving these methods are also disclosed. A method for pumping a sample through microchannels on a microchip using a non-contact heat source is also disclosed.
