A pulsed discharge detector (10) includes a device and method for modular measurement of ionization signals from a sample (32). The pulsed discharge detector (10) includes a discharge source (20) in a chamber (12), a collector (26) spaced from the discharge source (20), a monitor (50) connected to a discharge electrode (24), an electrometer (60) connected to the collector (26), a calibrator (62) and a sample and hold processor (64). The discharge electrodes include a source electrode (22) centrally located in relation to the discharge chamber wall. The collector (26) is centrally located in relation to the chamber wall. Discharge signals (80) are monitored for time and intensity. Collected signals (90) are adjusted based on discharge intensity. Collected signals (90) are collected during a time window based on discharge occurrence time. Detector output is predicated on collected signals (90) coordinated with pulsed discharges. The calibrator (62) of the present invention adjusts collected signals (90) to reduce discharge noise. The sample and hold processor (64) accumulates selected adjusted signal values (94) to quantify sample concentrations.

Premium quality parbaked frozen pizza can be made from a dough comprising specific amounts of moisture, sugar sweetener and oil by adding premium rough cut toppings to a premium generally square crust having a rough edge (101-104) mimicking a hand formed crust. The pizza provides the appearance of being hand made and baked in a brick wood fired oven providing a crispy exterior, a soft interior crust having characteristic toasted color indicia. In use, the pizza is packaged in conventional corrugated forms, outer wrapped and packaged for delivery in retail environments. The product can be removed from its packaging and baked at home, mimicking a product from a restaurant grade preparation.

A primary object is to achieve a high sealing performance, to collect hazardous gas contained in a sealed process fluid, and to realise an easy disposition of a mechanical seal device (1). A typical configuration is that an end face (42) of a shaft sleeve (40) engages a rotary shaft (50) by a step shoulder of the shaft which is disposed in the sealed fluid side relative to a stationary seal ring (3). A buffer fluid chamber (c) is disposed between the shaft sleeve (40) and a housing (60) with a seal part (20A, 20B), there being an intermediate chamber (B) disposed between a shaft seal (2) and the seal part, the pressure in the buffer fluid chamber being higher than that in the intermediate chamber in order to prevent the sealed process fluid inside the intermediate chamber from leaking to the atmosphere.
