    摘要: A thermostatic radiator valve comprises a valve body (1) having a valve seat (5) disposed between input and output connections (2 and 3) to the valve, a valve closure member (6) adjustably disposed adjacent the valve seat (5) for controlling flow through the valve, a valve spindle (11) spring mounted in the valve body (1) on one end (10) of which the valve closure member (6) is disposed, and a thermostatic radiator valve head (not shown) mounted on the valve body (1) which is operable on the other end (16) of the valve spindle (11) for controlling the operation of the valve. The valve closure member (6) comprises a bush (7) having a resilient member (8) for contacting the valve seat (5) rigidly secured to it, the metallic bush (7) being disposed on a reduced diameter end portion (10) of the spindle (11) and being rigidly attached to the spindle (11).

    摘要: A mordanting substrate is provided including a porous substrate, and, distributed within the substrate, a mordanting agent. Preferably, the substrate is a fibrous cellulosic material, and the mordanting agent is a cationic polymer that is soluble in polar solvents, preferably water-soluble. The polar solvent solubility of the polymer, in combination with the porosity and cellulosic nature of the material, has been found to cause the mordanting agent, when imbibed into the substrate in the form of a solution, to bind to fibers within the substrate. This binding in turn allows excellent immobilization of dye within the substrate.

The nacelle (10) includes two parts (50 and 52) which are hinged to the pylon (6), and pivotly moveable between an open position and a closed operational position. Each nacelle part contains a bypass air-duct (42). Spaced spigot locators (32) and blade locators (34) are positioned on the forward edge of the discharge nozzle (8), and spigots (38) and blades (40) are correspondingly located round the rear edge of the nacelle parts (50, 52). The locators (32, 34 and 36) and their corresponding spigots (38) and blades (40) are arranged so that on closure of the nacelle parts (50, 52) they engage one another and transmit the flight loads through the nacelle (10).

    摘要: A mixture of liquid and solid sewage flows in a stream along a channel (2) in the direction from right to left as seen in the Figure. A screening apparatus includes an endless screening belt (4) located with its lower inlet region in the sewage stream. The belt (4) consists of pivotally connected screening elements (12) made of perforated plate. Each screening element (12) consists of a shorter part (14) and a longer part (16) connected at an acute angle to one another. In operation, the belt (4) travels anti-clockwise causing solid sewage greater than the size of the perforations to be carried upwardly on the shorter parts (14). The liquid sewage effluent drains from the screening elements (12) as they ascend. When each screening element (12) reaches the upper region of the belt (4) the screening element tilts in a clockwise direction to release the solid sewage which drops to a screw conveyor (30) which conveys the solid sewage to a desired location. The upper region (22) of the belt (4) extends upstream of the inlet region of the belt (4) so that any solid sewage spilt from the upper region of the belt (4) which is not collected by the screw conveyor (30) falls back into the channel (2) upstream of the inlet region of the belt (4). This arrangement reduces the risk of solid sewage entering and polluting the cleansed liquid sewage effluent downstream of the conveyor belt (4).

The local controller (62) responds to a received authorization message to output a control signal on the control output to control the service device operating control (12) to provide the requested service. The account managing means (94) responds to a received account balance payment message to credit the stored account balance indexed by the particular card identifier by the payment value of the received account balance message.

    摘要: A flap assembly includes a flap member (2) located at the trailing edge of an aircraft wing (4). A bracket (12) extends down from the flap member (2), and a mounting arm (8) extends rearwardly form the lower surface of the wing. Two link arms (14 and 16) are pivotally mounted at their upper ends (18 and 20) to the mounting arm (8), and at their lower ends (22 and 24) to the bracket (12).
    The flap member (2) is moved between its stowed and its downwardly extended positions by an actuating mechanism (26) which is mounted on the aircraft wing (4), and connected either to the flap member (2) or to the bracket (12). The actuating mechanism (26) may be of either a linear or a rotary type.
