摘要： The present invention includes novel compounds and pharmaceutically acceptable formulations of said compounds which exhibit antibiotic activity against microorganisms bearing a guanine riboswitch that controls the expression of the guaA gene, including organisms which are resistant to certain antibiotic families, and which are useful as antibacterial agents for treatment or prophylaxis of bacterial infections in animals or in humans, in particular but not limited to infections of the mammary gland, or their use as antiseptics, agents for sterilization or disinfection.

摘要： An apparatus for reducing a selected tonal noise generated by an axial flow fan (12) operating in a non-uniform flow by locating at least one obstruction (2) in the non-uniform flow such that the at least one obstruction (2) generates a noise that is out of phase with the selected tonal noise. The noise generated by the at least one obstruction (2) interferes with the selected tonal noise, thus reducing the selected tonal noise. It is also contemplated to use additional obstructions to reduce other tonal noises generated by the axial flow fan (12).

摘要： An apparatus for measuring a deformation distribution of an object having a longitudinal dimension comprises a structure for supporting the object. A sensor unit comprises a base, a contact member having a body connected to the base by a rotational joint such rotational degrees of freedom are provided between the base and the contact member, an end of the body configured to contact and move along the object, and at least one sensor for determining an orientation of the body relative to the base. A displacement module enables relative movement between the sensor unit and the structure for the sensor unit to relatively move along the object in the longitudinal dimension. A method and system for measuring a rigidity distribution of an object having a longitudinal dimension are also provided.
