    摘要: What is disclosed is a vehicle engine control system responsive to a change between a first request for homogeneous charge combustion and a second request for stratified charge combustion. A spark-ignition cylinder-injection internal combustion engine has cylinders, each performing an intake phase, a compression phase, a power phase, and an exhaust phase. The cylinders each, when rendered operable in a first mode, experience first fuel injection at a first fuel injection timing during intake phase thereof and first spark ignition at a first ignition timing to initiate homogeneous charge combustion. The cylinders each, when rendered operable in a second mode, experiences second fuel injection at a second fuel injection timing during compression phase and second spark ignition at a second ignition timing to initiate stratified charge combustion. A fuel injection manager is operable to set one of the first fuel injection and second fuel injection for the cylinders in a predetermined sequential order in response to one of the first and second request. A spark ignition manager is operable to set one of the first spark ignition and second spark ignition for the cylinders in the predetermined sequential order in response to one of the first fuel injection and the second fuel injection that has been set to each of the cylinders.

    摘要: An engine control system for an internal combustion engine of a type changing a fuel injection timing between a first injection timing to achieve homogeneous charge combustion and a second injection timing to achieve stratified charge combustion comprises at least one sensor and a controller for controlling fuel injection timing and quantity. The controller selects one of homogenous combustion mode and stratified combustion mode in accordance with the engine operating condition sensed by the sensor, calculates the fuel injection quantity for the selected combustion mode, and enables a start of a homogeneous mode injection of fuel to a given cylinder of the engine at the first injection timing for the homogeneous mode if calculation of the homogeneous mode fuel injection quantity for the given cylinder is finished prior to the first injection timing for the given cylinder. If the calculation of the fuel injection quantity for the given cylinder is not finished yet, the control system performs a stratified mode injection of the fuel to the given cylinder at the second injection timing.

    摘要: A fuel injection control system for a cylinder direct injection spark-ignition internal combustion engine. The fuel injection control system is configured to perform: (a) judging a homogeneous charge combustion condition which requires homogeneous charge combustion and a stratified charge combustion condition which requires stratified charge combustion, in accordance with an engine operating condition, fuel being supplied on intake stroke so as to form a rich equivalent ratio in the homogeneous charge combustion, fuel being supplied on compression stroke so as to form a lean equivalent ratio in the stratified charge combustion, the rich equivalent ratio being richer in fuel than the lean equivalent ratio; (b) gradually changing over an equivalent ratio within a range between the rich and lean equivalent ratios when engine operation is changed over between the homogeneous charge combustion condition and the stratified charge combustion condition; and (c) injecting first and second quantities of fuel into a cylinder of the engine respectively on intake and compression strokes in each cycle of the cylinder at least a predetermined time during a time period in which the equivalent ratio is gradually changed over.

    摘要: In an automatic stop-restart system of an automotive internal combustion engine mated to an automatic transmission which uses either one of a torque converter and a start-up clutch for engine torque transmission to axle shafts of driven wheels of an automotive vehicle, a motor generator is disposed between the engine and the automatic transmission. The motor generator is capable of operating in a power-running mode to automatically restart the engine by a motoring torque produced by its motoring operation during the start-up period and operating in a regenerative mode for energy regeneration. A control unit of the system has a first control section performing a rotational speed control for the motor generator by setting a desired rotational speed at a predetermined idle speed so that the engine speed is brought closer to the desired speed during an automatic engine-restart operating mode. The control unit has a second control section setting a regenerative torque limiter which limits a regenerative torque of the motor generator to a controllable specified torque level, while executing the rotational speed control when the accelerator pedal is depressed during the automatic engine-restart operating mode.
