    摘要: The present invention provides an electrophoretic display device (65), comprising a multiplicity of individual reservoirs (61) containing a display medium (60) between conductive substrates (56), at least one of which is transparent, wherein the display medium comprises one or more set of colored particles in a dielectric fluid, wherein the display medium has an electrical conductivity of about 10 -11 to about 10 -15 S/m, and wherein the multiplicity of individual reservoirs are defined by a unitary grid whose walls segregate the reservoirs. The invention further provides a method of forming an electrophoretic display device (65), comprising forming a mold having a grid pattern defining individual reservoirs; forming a master stamp in the mold, and removing the master stamp from the mold; forming a grid by filling the master stamp with a material of the grid; and filling a multiplicity of the individual reservoirs (61) of the grid with a display medium (60) comprised of one or more set of colored particles in a dielectric fluid and locating the grid between conductive substrates (56). Moreover, the invention provides a method of forming an electrophoretic display device (65), comprising forming a film comprised of a material of a grid; exposing the film through a photomask and developing the film to achieve a grid having a desired grid pattern defining individual reservoirs; adhering the grid to a conductive substrate; and filling a multiplicity of the individual reservoirs of the grid with a display medium comprised of one or more set of colored particles in a dielectric fluid and adhering an additional conductive substrate to an open side of the grid.
