Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a display device, a driving method thereof, and electronic paper. The display device includes a plurality of pixels. The pixel includes N subpixels whose pixel electrode areas are not equal to each other, the subpixel is capable of displaying M grayscales, and both N and M are integers not less than 2. A ratio of pixel electrode areas of two of the N subpixels is Xn, 2 ≤ X ≤ M, and n is an integer not less than 1. In this application, a quantity of displayed grayscales can be increased, and a refresh rate of a displayed image can be ensured.
