A hydroformed driveshaft tube formed using a hydroforming process is provided. The hydroformed driveshaft tube comprises a first end portion, a second end portion, and a middle portion. The middle portion is at least partially defined by a circular arc shaped surface of revolution. At least a portion of the middle portion has a diameter greater than a diameter of the first end portion and the second end portion. The middle portion is formed between the first end portion and the second end portion. The middle portion affects a critical speed and a breathing mode frequency of the hydroformed driveshaft tube. The hydroformed driveshaft tube reduces a cost of a driveshaft assembly.

The present invention pertains to the field of engine fittings manufacturing, and specifically relates to a method for machining and shaping a rocker arm frame. The rocker arm frame includes an integrally-molded soleplate and side walls, wherein one end of the soleplate has an H-shaped curved crown, the other end has a ball socket, a bottom of the ball socket is provided with a small oil hole, and the side walls are each provided with a pin shaft hole. The method of machining and shaping comprises the following steps: A. blanking of a rocker arm frame profile, wherein a plate-shaped workpiece of the rocker arm frame is punched out by using a punch; B. pre-bending, wherein the plate-shaped workpiece is pre-bent to form a W-shaped curved crown part; and C. applying lateral extrusion to the W-shaped curved crown part to form a primary product of a rocker arm frame having the required H-shaped curved crown. The method solves the problem of severe local thinning in the course of shaping the side walls of the curved crown, and eliminates an interspace between the two side walls so that the two side walls can tightly fit with each other.

A method is disclosed for manufacturing a tie shaft for aero or land based gas turbine engine. The method includes flow forming a tie shaft preform to produce a tie shaft. In one example, the tie shaft includes a nickel alloy cylindrical wall having a length to diameter ratio of at least 6:1, wherein the diameter is an average outer diameter. The wall includes a minimum effective strain of 0.3 in/in (7.6 mm/mm), and a grain size is in the range of G4 to G16 per ASTM E112. The wall includes a roll formed threaded surface having a thread roughness of less than 1260 μin (32 microns).

Parts of the valve head portion semifinished product other than a central part to a lower part of the diameter-increased section (111) are necked down by cold forging performed a plurality of times to obtain the finished product of the valve head portion (1). [Problem to be Solved] An object of the present invention is to provide a novel method of manufacturing a lever plate that is made of a material having a relatively small thickness but nonetheless has an engaging protrusion having an adequate thickness and an adequate height. A lever plate in a VGS type turbocharger according to the present invention is a lever plate that is incorporated in an exhaust guide assembly in a VGS type turbocharger. The lever plate has a fitting hole into which a shaft part of the adjustable vane is fitted formed at a position close to one end of an elongated plate main body thereof and an engaging protrusion to be engaged with the drive ring formed at the other end thereof. The engaging protrusion is formed by bending a blanking material having the shape of an elongated flat plate. The engaging protrusion is pressed in a direction of raising thereof so as to have a thickness greater than the thickness of the plate main body of the lever plate, and opposite side peripheries of the engaging protrusion are subjected to finish blanking to have an arc shape.

L'invention concerne un procédé de laminage et d'estampage à chaud pour obtenir une pièce profilée ayant des variations de section. Le procédé comprend une première étape de laminage par laquelle un lopin est soumis à un premier formage, au moins une étape supplémentaire de laminage permettant d'affiner le formage, et au moins une étape d'estampage pour obtenir la forme définitive de la pièce. La dernière étape de laminage est faite avec des rouleaux (A, B) pourvus de gravures d'ébauche (A4, B4) donnant à la pièce sa forme définitive, à l'exception de finitions. Les finitions sont apportées à la pièce par une étape unique d'estampage moyennant une matrice de finition. L'invention concerne également une pièce profilée ayant des variations de section, cette pièce étant réalisée par un tel procédé.
