Bei einem Verfahren zum thermischen Fügen von Bauteilen (B) aus Silikat-Werkstoffen an einer Fügestelle (S) werden die miteinander zu fügenden Bauteile (B) wenigstens in einem Bereich um die Fügestelle (S) auf eine Vorwärmtemperatur unterhalb ihres Erweichungspunktes erwärmt. In die erwärmten Bauteile (B) wird an der Fügestelle (S) zusätzliche Wärmeenergie eingebracht, um die Fügestelle (S) auf eine Fügetemperatur bei oder oberhalb der Temperatur des Erweichungspunktes zu erwärmen. Vorzugsweise wird für den zusätzlichen Wärmeeintrag eine Lasereinrichtung (6) verwendet. Weiterhin wird eine für das Verfahren geeignete Vorrichtung angegeben. Hiermit lassen sich ebene oder auch beliebig räumlich geometrische Bauteile (B) aus Silikat-Werkstoffen in sehr hoher Qualität spannungsarm miteinander verbinden.

A method of welding and sealing the edges of two juxtaposed glass sheets together to seal a vacuum space between the sheets comprises the steps of positioning a radiation absorbant material, such as FeO, VO2, or NiO, between the radiation transmissive glass sheets adjacent the edges and then irradiating the absorbant material, preferably with a laser beam, through at least one of the glass sheets. Heat produced by the absorbed radiation in the absorbant material melts glass in the portions of both glass sheets that are adjacent the absorbant material, and the melted glass from both sheets flows together to create the weld when the melted glass cools and hardens. The absorbant material can be dissolved and diffused into the melted glass to the extent that it no longer absorbs enough energy to keep the glass melted, thus, with appropriate proportioning of absorbant material to source energy power and welding heat needed, the process can be made self-stopping.

The energy-saving plate of the present invention includes: at least one upper plate, at least one lower plate, at least one inner plate, and a plurality of support structures; a top edge of the upper plate and a bottom edge of the lower plate appear as a straight line; the inner plate is provided between the upper plate and the lower plate, and adjacent plates are separated by the plurality of support structures; an exhausting opening is provided at a lateral side of the inner plate, which is a through-groove inter-penetrating upper and lower surfaces of the inner plate; the periphery of the upper plate, the lower plate, and the inner plate are sealed via a sealing material, so as to form vacuum layers between the plate layers; an exhausting pipe is arranged in the exhausting opening, with which the exhausting opening is sealed together via the sealing material, an open-end of the exhausting pipe is located inside the exhausting opening, and a closed-end of the exhausting pipe is located outside the exhausting opening and is located in the space formed between the upper plate and the lower plate. In the present invention, a total flat surface of the energy-saving plate is achieved without structure defects, thus enhancing the strength of the energy-saving plate.
