    摘要: An apparatus and a method is disclosed for providing a controlled separation of a structure that has been screened from the screening mask. A dampener pad (20) floats with the mask (12) as the screened structure is being separated from the mask. The mask is held in place by the dampener pad while the structure completely sepa­rates from the mask. The dampener pad assembly, then, in a controlled manner, brings the mask back to the original position, and the mask is then ready for the next screen­ing operation.

    摘要: The present invention provides a process for the peeling of a resist material with a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet which involves the improvement in the removal of resist material or the enhancement of peelability of resist material to certainly remove the resist material from the object regardless of the properties or treated state of the resist material. The process comprises (1) after the application of the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet, effecting a stress-imparting treatment which causes shrinkage or expansion of the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet so that a stress develops at the interface between the resist material and the object or (2) prior to the application of the resist material to the object, effecting surface treatment to the object such that the surface of the object has a surface free energy of to not greater than 60 dyne/cm.

    摘要: Apparatus and methods are provided for separating photographic film strips (12,14), adhered to a splice (18), by restricting movement of the splice (10) and then pulling the film strips longitudinally in opposite directions. According to one feature, the splice adhesive (28) is heated until it softens, preferably with a hot shoe applied against the splice under pressure. According to other features a space is left between the ends of the film strips (12,14) when they are spliced together, and the splice is engaged from both sides while the film strips are pulled apart. Still more specifically, according to another aspect of the invention, a carrier or splice pick-up web is provided for removing the splices from the area and for holding the removed splices in a manner particularly convenient for disposal.
