摘要: A fabric for supporting a fibrous web is disclosed. The fabric comprises a layer that includes a plurality of weft yarns and a plurality of warp yarns interwoven with the plurality of weft yarns. The warp and weft yarns define a web-facing side and an opposite machine-facing side. The warp yarns comprise at least one of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) and polyetheretherketone (PEEK). In addition, a yarn count, weave pattern, and yarn shape of the fabric are configured such that molten polymer drops are scrapable from the web-facing side leaving an upper support surface that does not blemish a fibrous web supported by the fabric.

摘要: Composite yarns, comprising one or more elastomeric fibers and hard yarns, are formed by adhering the elastomeric fibers and hard yarns together using a size material. The size-covered composite yarn can be used in weaving and knitting to make stretch fabrics with desired garment characteristics. The size material may be removed by subsequent wet fabric processing.

摘要: A triple layer woven industrial fabric, particularly suitable for through-air drying applications, has a paper side (PS) layer and a machine side (MS) layer of polymeric warp and weft yarns woven to a repeat pattern wherein all the warp yarns are arranged as vertically stacked pairs, all the weft yarns comprise pairs of intrinsic weft binder yarns, and each pair of weft yarns forms an unbroken weft path in both the PS layer and the MS layer whereby when either the first or second member of the pair passes from the PS layer to the MS layer, the other member of the pair passes from the MS layer to the PS layer at an exchange point located between at least one common pair of warp yarns.

摘要: A papermaking belt comprises a reinforcing element (50) and a resinous framework (300) joined together. The resinous framework is formed by a plurality of resinous beads (110) which mutually contact or cross-over. Super-knuckles (160) extending outwardly from the reinforcing element are formed at points of contact. A preferred continuous process for making the belt comprises extruding, in a pre-selected pattern, a plurality of beads of a resinous material onto the forming surface thereby forming the resinous framework thereon, joining the resinous framework and the reinforcing element together, and then solidifying the resinous framework. The resinous material may comprise at least two chemically-active materials capable of cross-linking upon contact.

摘要: The present invention is directed to thermoformable ion-sensitive compositions having improved processability. In addition, the present invention is directed to a process of making water-dispersible fibers, films and fabrics, which maintain their structural integrity and strength when in use, but dissolve and disperse when placed in contact with large amounts of water, such as in a conventional sink or toilet. Moreover, the present invention is directed to water-dispersible products, including flushable products such as personal care products, diapers, incontinence devices, release liners, feminine napkins, product packaging, etc., which contain fibers, films and fabrics formed from the water-sensitive compositions.

摘要: An antimicrobial material comprising at least one yarn comprising fine fiber of 1.0 denier or less and at least one yarn comprising antimicrobial fiber that are engaged with each other, wherein the antimicrobial fibers impart an antimicrobial property to the entire material. In a preferred embodiment, the yarns of fine fiber and yarns of antimicrobial fiber are woven or knitted together. It is further preferred that the fine fiber be less than 0.3 denier, have a diameter of approximately 3 microns, and have a generally triangular cross-section with sharp edges, therefore allowing the fine fiber to substantially remove bacteria, fungi and other microbes from a surface. It is also preferred that the antimicrobial fibers comprise an acetate fiber spun together with polyester to give the antimicrobial fiber added strength.

摘要: Bonded composite open mesh strucutral textiles are formed of woven textile. The textile (10) is formed from at least two, and preferably three, components. The first component, or load bearing member, is a high tenacity, high modulus, low elongation mono-or multifilament yarn. The second component is a polymer in yarn or orther form which will encapsulate and bond yarns at the junctions to strengthen the junctions. The third components is an optional effect or bulking yarn. In the woven textile, a plurality of warp yarns (14) are woven with a plurality of weft (fill) yarns (18). The weave preferably includes a half-cross or full-cross leno weave. At least a portion of the warp and weft yarns are first component load bearing yarns. The polymer component is used as required for the bonding properties necessary for the finished product, and especially to provide improved junction or joint strength. The effect or bulking yarns are used as warp and/or weft yarns and/or leno yarns as required to provide the desired bulk in the textile and relatively thick profile for the finished product.
