    摘要： Systems and methods for providing a reference for an acetabular cup lane in accordance with embodiments of the invention can include a method performed by a computer-aided surgical navigational system with a display screen and at least one sensor. The method can include detecting at least one array associated with a platform upon which the patient is supported in a supine position. The method can also include defining a surgical reference plane for a surgical procedure associated with an acetabular component, based at least in part on detecting the array associated with the upper surface of the platform. Furthermore, the method can include outputting via the screen at least one user interface for use with the surgical procedure associated with an acetabular component, based at least in part on detecting the array associated with the upper surface of the platform.

    摘要： A locking fastener for use with a bone plate. The fastener has threads on its shank to engage bone and threads on its head to engage the internal threads of the bone plate. The threads in the head may have a constant major diameter and a tapered minor diameter that creates a radial interference fit. The threads in the head may also have a variable pitch that creates an axial interference fit. The head may have a low profile to reduce soft tissue irritation.

    摘要： Devices and processes for use in computer aided or computer navigated surgery include one or more registering and securing mechanisms or, alternatively, one or more adjustable locking structures interposed between an indicium and an item to be used during surgery such as a body part, tool, implant, trial or other structure or component. After the indicia have been registered into the system and surgery, begun, it is sometimes desirable to remove and reattach the indicia for better access to the surgical sight, to avoid contamination of the indicia, or to accommodate other surgical needs. Registering and securing mechanisms according to various embodiments are designed to be easily removable and accurately reattached so that the indicia can be repositioned relative to the item without the need to register the Indicia into the system relative to the item. The registering and securing mechanism preferably include structure that allows the indicia to be repositioned relative the item in only one position and orientation, the position and orientation in which it was registered into the system originally.
