    摘要: A dual fuel injector comprising: (a) an injector body; (b) an inlet port (7, 8) in the injector body for enabling pressurized hydraulic fluid from a hydraulic fluid source to be introduced into the interior of the injector body, said hydraulic fluid being of sufficient pressure to maintain injection valves (16, 17) in the injector body in a closed position until actuated; (c) a first inlet port (6) in the injector body for enabling a first fuel to be introduced; (d) a first injection valve (16) in the injection body connected to the first inlet port (6); (e) a second inlet port (23) in the injector body for enabling a second fuel to be introduced; (f) a second injection valve (17) in the injector body connected to the second inlet port (23) for controlling injection of the second fuel; (g) a first control valve (3) which causes the hydraulic fluid to actuate the first injection valve; (h) a second control valve (2) which causes the hydraulic fluid to actuate the second injection valve (17); (i) a metering device (15) in the injector body for metering the amount of first fuel injected by the first injection valve; and (j) a seal (24) in the injector body which prevents leakage of the second fuel into the first fuel.

    摘要: The invention relates to a fuel injection system provided with a Common Rail (2) pressure accumulator filled at high pressure and with a multifuel nozzle (3) for bifluid injection of fuel and an adjunctive liquid into an internal combustion engine. The inventive injection system comprises a first 2/2-way valve (MV1) in the injection pipe (6) between the Common Rail pressure accumulator (2) and a pressure chamber (3.5) surrounding the injector pin of the multifuel nozzle, as well as a second 2/2-way valve (MV2), the inlet of which is connected via a supply pipe (7) to the injection line (6) at a point located between the first 2/2-way valve (MV1) and the pressure chamber (3.5), and the outlet of which is connected via a discharge line (8) to the low pressure side of fuel. It is thus possible to replace the usual valves, technicaly much more expensive, i.e. the magnetically operated 3/2-way valves, by 2/2-way valves, which are more economical. The invention also enables the adjunctive liquid dosage to be transferred to a regulating valve which operates a whole series of injectors.

    摘要: A fuel injection system with a common rail pressure accumulator (2) filled with fuel under high pressure and a binary nozzle (3) for injecting two fluids, a fluid fuel and an additional liquid, into an internal combustion engine, comprises a first 2/2-port valve (MV1) arranged in the injection line (6) between the common rail pressure accumulator (2) and a pressure chamber (3.5) which surrounds the needle (3.1) of the binary nozzle (3), and also a second 2/2-port valve (MV2) whose inlet is connected through a supply line (7) to the injection line (6) at a point located between the first 2/2-port valve (MV1) and the pressure chamber (3.5), and whose outlet is connected through a discharge line (8) to the fuel low pressure side. This makes it possible to replace the otherwise common, considerably more complex 3/2-port magnetic control valves by more cost-effective 2/2-port valves. At the same time, this makes it possible to use a single metering valve which actuates a whole group of injectors for metering the additional liquid.
